Nothing Construction debris and paint odor everywhere

Bad
-
nothing It was literally construction zone with dust everywhere, hallways were bare concrete where the carpet had been stripped, AND, there was no hot water.
-
Breakfast was good. Hotel was under renovation. Rooms were extremely dirty. Hallways were dirty and smelled. Bathroom tub and toliet did not work.
-
Construction was going on and very unkept although there was no construction workers onsite. Drywall rocks everywhere that could of been swept up and mopped until construction work came back. Pool was very grimy and very dirty around the edges. Once I noticed that I got out. I also witnessed one of the staff members from the kitchen get rude and irritated by another guest for not knowing how to work waffle maker by shoving her out the way while hands were on the waffle maker.

Staff was very helpful and kind.

Hotel did not have water upon arrival and the entire hotel was torn up due to renovations that they didn't make us aware of prior. When the water did come back on it never got hot. Had to take a cold shower twice. The pool looks old and gross. The breakfast is very inconsistent. Would not recommend.

When we walked in the entire main floor appeared to be under construction and open to the public. We were told that our room was recently renovated. The room was clean although the blinds were broken, the bathtub was dirty and wouldn’t drain. Very Disappointed for the price we paid and were unaware that the hotel was under a major construction.

The hotel was under construction and so not at its best. Lots of dust in the rooms and hallways. Often strong paint smells in the hallway. The pool was neither hot nor cold.

Close to Kings Island park Clean and quiet. AC worked good. Decent breakfast

We have stayed at this property many times as we often come to visit Kings Island during the summer. Our most recent visit was less than stellar as compared to past stays. It’s unclear if there is new management or what but the front desk staff allowed the lobby to become a disaster and they were also hard to locate.

Our room on the 3rd floor was recently renovated, so it appeared clean. The lobby and hallways are old and didn't appear very clean. The front desk person was very impersonable and not very friendly. Glad we only stayed one night.

After a long day at Kings Island, we returned to get cleaned up for dinner and there was NO hot water. The day we get up to no hot water again.. Very disappointed
-
Our room room had a leaking ceiling, it was over the bed and was dripping on my daughter. The bathroom also had a leaky ceiling, it was leaking into the light/fan fixture. There was also mold on the ceiling over the tub. Breakfast was good, each day had different selections. Staff was friendly.

We specifically picked this Hampton Inn when we took our grandchildren to Kings Island because we have stayed at Hampton Inn many times and felt comfortable choosing it even though the cost was more than others in the area. The moment we pulled up we noticed that the property was looking a little rough. We came into the lobby and waited quite a while before someone showed up to check us in. We had planned to use the indoor pool in the evening but when we took a look at it we changed our minds. It did not appear clean or well cared for. There was an odor in the hallway, elevator, and our room. The room itself didnt appear dirty but our window was covered in tattered plastic as there is construction going on. The ice maker was out of order. There was some sort of torn fabric hanging out the bottom of the bed. The air conditioner did not work well and made odd noises. The coolest our room every got was 75 even though we tried multiple times to adjust it. We didnt get back to our room for the night until after 10:30 pm so didnt feel we could call to have it looked at. We spent a miserably hot sleepless night. The toilet continued to run. I would NOT recommend this property!

I have stayed at Hampton Inns before. Location was close to amusement park. I expected more. Front door had a sign since the sliding glass door was broken. The hotel was a bit run down. There was plenty of parking. Workout room was good. I had two reservations. One for friday and one for saturday. At checkin, I asked if we can stay in the same room both nights. Later I asked if they needed to change something and they said just come down in the morning, and we will fix it. If i hadn't asked, would they have done something? 2nd floor room. Hallway to the left had a curtain up and was a disaster. Apparently they are remodeling. Room had toe nail polish all over one piece of furniture. Table tops were dusty and had some dirt. Beds were clean but sheets had stains. Beds were comfortable. Room and bathroom edging and caulk in the bathrooms were a mess. Very poor lighting and room was very dark. TV did not have a menu, could only flip channels. Breakfast was included. Quality was not good. Even my 15 year old turned her nose at it -she eats everything. Coffee tasted like watered down folgers. I did not eat the breakfast. This was closer to a Quality Inn than Hampton. I give it 2 stars at best.
