Comfort Inn Matthews - Charlotte

I drove big trucks for years. I've stayed in some pretty dank places. This place has no business renting rooms to anyone who has any health issues. The mold was so bad that it's infected the HVAC unit. I've always enjoyed staying at a Comfort inn. The carpet was so bad, I wouldn't even walk on it with socks. I HAD TO put my shoes on. Nikki was great getting me in. The LAZY man at checkout was another story. No greeting, no smile and just brushed me off. If this place keeps going like it is, it'll be a Motel 6 in a few years. Then city/county will shut them as a nuisance. Sad really, when the owners put all the money into their pockets and not back into the business. Never ever again.

Room was really clean, safe, quiet, breakfast was awsome! My family loves this hotel.

Breakfast was very good. Room was clean and very nice size. No issues staying here. Definitely will stay here again.

Not my ideal place, room was not as clean for me, internet never worked!

Room was comfortable and clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. Gave 4 out of 5 because our room felt very damp for our entire stay, even with the AC running almost all the time. I've stayed here several times before and hadn't experienced this previously.

The rooms were clean a little musty but not bad.. bathroom was clean, staff was helpful, coffee was good.. Food ok if you like carbs.

Very happy with overall staff, service, property, amenities and cleanliness:-)

Easy access to places

It was close to shopping areas and restaurants

Very friendly staff. But, the disability access rooms were a bit outdated. A rail which was not totally secure and a leaning toiler kept us from staying in our original room. Also, the handicap seat in the shower was missing one of the rubber footings.

Everything

I love absolutely loved everything about this place. It is extremely quiet.Can't hear anything in or out, shout out to Nikki the receptionist she is amazing, thank you for your great service. Everything was pleasant.

We had mold on our curtains. There was a man clearly on drugs hanging out outside the main entrance that you have to walk by with kids in tow to get in and no one seemed to have any concern.

The room had a musty smell upon entering every single time. The carpet and stained curtains are dated and should be replaced. There appeared to be some mold growing on a wall in the bath room, or maybe it was dirt. The staff was lovely, and the free self-serve breakfast was standard fare. Parking was available and well-lit. This hotel is convenient to shopping, and we would stay there again.

Breakfast was good. Was wishing for a bowl of fresh fruit.

Clean room. Staff was friendly and helpful. AC worked great!
