Baymont by Wyndham Merrillville

A murder scene in the room we were in- stains in carpet- blood on the lamp shade- dirty sheets that were stained and not changed or cleaned- no shower curtain - no towels- was only looking to sleep for 4 hours should of not spent any money and slept in my vehicle. Elevator doesn’t work- pool is closed - place should be condemned!

I booked online and reserved my room, then when I arrived it was a sign on the lobby door saying that they were booked for the night. When I went to the desk and told him I had reservations on line he asked me for my ID then said I don’t see your reservation then said I’m all booked for the night

1. Whose long brown hair is all over the bathtub? 2. Is that a splattered blood stain on the floor lampshade or is it red wine? 3. Will I itch more if I sleep on top of the stained coverlet or under the covers? 4. Is that bleach spots on the carpet or mold? 5. Is anyone planning on taking a shower? There’s no towels. Let’s just say that I will never stay there again. Well… I guess I shouldn’t say never. It had a bed. We felt safe enough to sleep through the night. Plus, the hotel was filled with fun characters. So, if you are wanting to get some inspiration for a crime novel (fictional of course) or looking to collect random DNA samples, this may be your go-to spot. Just be sure to ask for towels when you check in.

I checked in with my family and upon entering the room its smells, bathroom is not clean smells pee, the room should have a sofa bed and one king bed but missing the sofa bed, I went to the desk to request to switch room and he said we do not have any other room and you have to call Expedia if you need refund and don’t wanna stay. I have no choice but to leave since we can’t fit in there and it’s so disgusting. I reached out to Expedia and hoping they can help us with this but turns out after hearing back my almost 300 dollars is only equivalent to 30 dollars! I have spent too much money for yhe last 2 weeks with Expedia and I am so disappointed and financially exhausted but the time not giving me another chance but to spend hoping I will get them back!

The rooms was filthy , the bathroom didn't have the top toilet seat, the elevator and the hallway smelled like feces. Never again.

OLD BED, OLD Furniture

Carpet dirty, horrible musty smell in room, hallway and elevator. Not the same room I booked, it was sold out. Pool dirty, room door broke, lamp broke. Mattress stained and sheets didn’t fit bed. No towels, told to go to each floor until I found a house keeper, provided cleaning clothes. Front desk clerk irritable whenever I made a request. Breakfast horrible… live in staff, disheveled and unpresentable. Baymont need to remove the name off that hotel!

No cleanness, bad smell, mold on AC vent

The description in the brochure indicated there was a pool but it was down for maintenance and also breakfast not buffet. The breakfast consisted of grits, oatmeal, cereal, waffles and orange juice. In the room the shower was leaking, the carpet had bleach stains, the knob on the sink came off and I was not able to wash my face for 4 days. I had to ask for a blanket and was issued a brown jail house blanket. The brochure was misleading. I was totally disappointed. Not to mention the gash above the front door on the ceiling. I arrived Thursday July 23rd and I complained to mike about the sink and he stated there would be someone to fix it no one came.

Location to resturants and other points of interest

The sheets were not clean, the carpets had a very terrible smell, they need to be cleaned properly. We couldn’t access the pool. The staff was friendly though.

Absolutely disgusting

Mold in the ceiling of shower, smelled like an old smoking room. No remote for the TV. No blankets on the bed, just a sheet. Plus in the early morning I was leaving the ceiling in bathroom started leaking, flooded the bathroom! Then began leaking by the entrance door. Worst hotel I have ever been to, definitely not worth the price! Never got money back for any inconvenience of the water leak!

Yes I actually inquired about a refund it was the worst hotel stay ive had in my entire life. Black mold in the bathroom everywhere, a busted toilet tank lid, busted vanity with the entire front part missing, no working bathroom light. Water got shut off

The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Curtains were missing, shower curtain was too small and water got all over, handle in the shower fell off, blood stains on the stairs, and staff was extremely rude. Saw the manager belittling an elderly cleaning lady trying to ask questions. Couldn’t even give me extra pillows and towels. Ended up going to the Hilton Garden and at least 18 other rooms were people who left Baymont.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Very dirty and smelled staff was rude. Didn’t have any clean towels or extra pillows either. If I could give this place negative stars it would be a negative 10. Smoke detector had a plastic bag covering it. Furniture was ripped. Curtains ripped and the bed frame was all screwed up.
