The front desk staff were not friendly at all. We had to wait awhile to get our room which we knew. After 3 hours I went to check because I watched three people walk up and get a room. Acted put out because I didn’t receive the email notification to tell me my room was ready and why was I up there. The worker got me keys to our room. Sheets dirty The luggage was supposed to be brought up to our room. Nope! After an hour of waiting, we went to get our luggage. We got in from an excursion at 10 pm. We brought a slice of pizza back to the hotel lobby and ate it at the tables they have where you can eat. After the fact, when I took my trash to the guy to throw away, he said “next time, don’t bring food from outside to eat in here.” There were no signs put out that mention that. And we bought a piece of cake from their store to eat. The pool is small for a Riu. I was out tanning by the pool and the guy never came by to ask if I wanted a drink in the 3 hours I was out there. I know, I know, third world problems.

Amazing property

My 5 yr old and I visited your Riu Plaza Miami for a brief vacation for my birthday. Our visit dates were June 15, 2026-June 17, 2026. Both nights we stayed, we had no hot water to shower. I spoke with the front desk about the issue. Maintenance came but only fixed the problem briefly. Lack of hot water is a major discomfort especially on a birthday vacation. When I complained, I was asked “what do you want us to do”. I was also told that a manager would contact me and after following up was told there was no management present to assist in the issue. My daughter and I left around 7 am and could not speak with anyone about the issue. I was told the only way to receive assistance, was to send an email. I also had to use my cell phone if I wanted to use the internet or stream apps to the television. I had to use my phone screen to mirror to the tv. Highly displeased and will not visit again

Expect to handle your luggage yourself, there’s no help available. The hotel hasn’t had any maintenance in 10 years. The rooms and beds are very basic quality. As for soundproofing, it’s nonexistent. If people are talking at the other end of the corridor, it sounds like they’re in your room. The restaurant was a disaster. At breakfast you have to rush to finish by 10am, because at 10:05 they turn the lights off. I’ve never experienced that before. And in the evening, don’t even try the buffet — the food has no flavor. Avoid this hotel if you can. We had to cut our stay short and move to another hotel, because it was impossible to sleep or eat there. It’s sad how there’s zero hospitality at this place.

Had a great experience. Staff was very helpful and they even game me my room before check in time. They he view from my room was everything.

I love this hotel. The staff are very nice and accommodating. It was very overcrowded though. Not sure if it’s the season. Well, definitely be back.

Staff was excellent. Wonderful location in Miami Beach. Beachfront access was awesome too. Breakfast was awesome. I would definitely stay here again. Overall the property was great. A few things that could be improved is the water pressure in the toilets in the rooms wasn’t the best. We had to keep flushing the toilet. Also the neighbors could see straight into my room from their balconies.

I like that the ocean was a 2 min walk, and that party side of Miami was a short drive away.

This hotel is in a great location with pool and beach access! Can’t wait to come back☺️☀️

Terrible outdated property!! Way over priced! Staff non existent! Rooms horrible. Cheap bedding. Poor quality towels!! Pillows were children size and only 2 on bed. Overall stay was awful. No bellman to even help us with our luggage. No one answered the phone at front desk. Went to front desk and saw the worker at the coffee shop getting himself a coffee instead of helping guests? !!

Lo que no me gustó fue el trato en el restaurante, por política de alimentos en el desayuno, ya que no podia terminarme un cereal que además lo empacaron en plástico y pensé en llevármelo para comerlo luego en el cuarto y me hicieron botarlo junto con el de mi esposa, el trato fue desagradable, un momento feo y que me hizo no cenar en el hotel, no ver más partidos del mundial y no consumir más cerveza en su bar, realmente me sentí decepcionado de una política sin sentido, prefieren botar la comida a que luego te la puedas comer. Espero, que cambien de manera de pensar…
