There was no staff on premises to check you in or to help
-
The staff is nonexistent -- literally no one at the front desk ever, guests leaving post-it notes trying get help after calling with no response. Finally a sign posted to call certain numbers, but then guests told to wait 20-minutes because they aren't on site. The amenities promised on their website are nonfunctioning -- no spa, no gym, no restaurant, no pool. The place isn't set up for guests -- patios with no seating, if a seat is available it's dirty. Everything is in need of repair and cobwebs needed cleaned up to reduce the number of bugs. We left a day early because it was so bad -- and just as we were leaving, the electricity went out and a generator flicked on.

There are a lot of renovations going on, and it might not be at the height of its game… But they do everything they can there to make you comfortable… Including upgrades and five star service. We would definitely go back they are renovating the spa which I believe is probably taking away from giving attention to other parts of the property, but I believe the owner and his staff have all the right intentions and because of that and because of their service, we will definitely be back.

Overall it was good…

I was so excited when I booked this weekend getaway. The On-site restaurant was said to be one of the best in the Hudson Valley. The reviews were excellent. Evidently, I did not look at all the right reviews. The week before our vacation, the dinner reservations were canceled. When I called to find out why I was told that the restaurant was closed temporarily. I asked about the bar. The bar was also closed. They mentioned that the spa was under construction it was being relocated to another part of the grounds. Evidently, that spa has been under construction for years. The full breakfast that came with the room was indeed a treat. The room was small, but the patio you walk out to was very nice. we were the only guests the last two nights. I don’t think anyone was in the hotel with us, including staff. I was going to ask for the room to be discounted, but I couldn’t find an any one to ask.

The owner/manager was never on site. Fire alarm went off and we Waite outside for police and fire trucks. Gym and restaurant closed. No amenities. Feels abandoned.

The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The resort premises are cute. Breakfast which was included was decent. However, a day before our arrival we have learned that Henry’s restaurant where we had a birthday dinner reservation was closed which was disappointing as it was meant to be part of the overall experience. Tried to reach the property several times, left a voicemail and couple messages through Expedia, no one reached back or acknowledged our outreach. During our stay no one was ever at the front desk - the only one who seemed to work there was the chef/server.l which we met at breakfast.

Management was rude and unprofessional. There were issues with my room (running toilet, broken fireplace) and no attempt was made to rectify the issue. What is advertised on the website is not what the actual experience will be. The worst part was the inability to contact someone in charge because the person at the front desk was rarely there and when she was, she had seemingly no interest in helping and was borderline rude.

Excellent

Room was cozy, nice winter wonderland feel with a fireplace. Recommendations: refill the hot water for afternoon tea from 3-6pm. Otherwise, it's lukewarm from sitting out since breakfast service. Also, the toaster setting burns thin-sliced bread. The sign asks guests not to adjust the setting, but something needs to be adjusted. Loved the animals, looking forward to visiting again maybe when the spa renovations are done.

The bed was completely broken on one side. I was unable to sleep comfortably. We are still waiting to be contacted by someone from the hotel.

The staff was overall wonderful however the venue has now become a bit shabby and the food has most certainly gone down from the last time we visited several years ago
-
Very good location with many options to explore around, additional option to use SPA right here, but limited SPA service due to renovation ( no pool, no sauna, no change room).

IThe inn was quaint and inviting. The staff was friendly and professional. The spa experience was wonderful!

Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was great. They would provide you with 3 great options for hot breakfast and had access to the cold buffet items. They were conscious of my wife's gluten allergy and made accommodations. The area around the Inn had farm animals and llamas. There was also a trail to the falls. Overall very happy
