Homewood Suites by Hilton Poughkeepsie

It’s remote enough to not hear any highway noise and has sound proofed walls. There was a power outage during our stay which took about a half hour to restore and left us without working AC, following up the TV apps like YouTube or anything involving WiFi stopped working completely until the next day. House keeping is done once every two days and you have to request additional house keeping if needed, stay was only for 3 days so we didn’t get to experience top notch house keeping. Hotel also is near a lot of trees and woody area making it an attraction to bugs, hotel had sighting of spiders, ants, and other critters around and inside the lobbies. Wasn’t that bothersome unless you are afraid of bugs. Other than that they have board games, mini golf, a nice patio area, and a small basketball court, it would be nice to see the pool open longer, fitness center was okay some machines not working and only 1 peloton. Parking was sufficient and they had plenty of spots. The breakfast wasn’t anything fancy but for free food it was good.

Breakfast was good as well.. Practiced putting on the 6 hole putting green while i was there....

Staff here are exceptional and helpful from breakfast, maintenance and front desk. Rooms clean. Centrally located to multiple restaurants in walking distance as well as CVS. Pool, laundry, mini golf and basketball ball court onsite. No maintenance issues, but they all were friendly in passing. Staff seemed genuinely happy in jobs, our party of 5, 2 rooms and 5 day sat with 9-53 year olds loved it and would stay again.

Liked the outdoor seating, breakfast and social on Wednesday. It was nice they had fire pit and games for kids!

I also loved the game options the hotel Provided in the lobby from scrabble to phase 10 to chutes and ladders and many more

Excellent value when you are traveling to the Hudson Valley. Clean and quiet and with all more amenities than you would expect.

Great staff, they were very friendly. Housekeeping was great as well and very consistent and helpful. The room far exceeded my expectations and was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was also amazing! The pool and outdoor area was beautiful and entertaining for any family. My only con was the AC in the room didn’t seem to work too well after a while.

Raleighn (I am not sure I am spelling her name correctly) was absolutely wonderful. Helped us out several times during our short stay. I have stayed at this property a few times. I would live it even better if there were a small enclosed area for dogs to run a bit.

Fabulous stay!! Everyone was super nice, it was clean and nice. Definitely recommend!

Large room, good breakfast. The temperature was hard to manage. Mostly freezing cold. The thermostat didn't work. Also, no bath mat. No napkins in the kitchen. The bed was very soft but also way too high. Tough for a 5' person to get up into the bed
