great experience would go back

Convenient and clean. Nothing I can think of.

The proximity to restaurants, the wharf, shops, and bakeries is unparalleled. I’ve stayed numerous times over the years at Casa Munras and the staff, from the check-in desk to the groundskeepers, have always been kind and respectful even when they are busy. The only issue would be the rooms may have a few dated defects: chipped tiles, missing grout, or an unsteady toilet that moves. It’s just the wear and tear of a popular destination and may need minor maintenance.

Beautifully maintained. Staff very helpful. There as a leak by the pool and when notified the staff immediately took care of the issue.

This is a nice play to stay with reasonable rates in Monterey. Our room was pretty big and we slept comfortably all three nights. It was super quiet in the evenings. The in-room refrigerator was not cooling when we arrived, but was fine a few hours later. I noticed right after checking in that the room was missing a hair dryer, but staff brought one up immediately after I requested it. Our room had a ceiling fan and AC unit, which isn't the case for all properties in the area. Even though the evenings in Monterey are cool, rooms can get stuffy so it was nice to have both. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant one morning of our stay and it was good. There is also a good coffee shop across the street, as well as a Peet's and a Trader Joe's within walking distance. The property is a little dated, but overall it was a great stay.

I had a lot of problems with the bathroom. There was not even a place to set down your bar of soap because the sink had no vanity and it sloped so anything you set down just fell right into the sink. There were no drawers for your toiletries, no shelf other than the one that was completely taken up by toilet paper and Kleenex. In other words, if you put toothpaste on your toothbrush, you had no place to set the toothpaste while you were brushing. It was that inconvenient. They kept the hairdryer in the room because there was no place for it in the bathroom.I also strongly believe that toilets should have a lid. That is a sanitation issue. There is a make up mirror which is a nice feature, but the little lamp next to it was completely inadequate for putting on makeup.

Great food and drinks in the restaurant (and happy hour!). Kids really enjoyed the pool Nothing

Location Employees Confort Cleanliness Price Some towels are past their lifespan Parking should be free (or integrated into the price of each night)

Parking is difficult and you have to go around the whole property to find a parking spot, that makes the unloading and carrying your luggage a task ! my suggestion is, since the hotel is charging $17.00 a night for parking, they should mark/assign parking spaces near your rooms.By the way, do not eat at Esteban's , over rated, overpriced, bad attitude by the waitresses and Baaad food!! Do not order Pizza Margarita unless you are ready to eat a third of charcoal and have a blender to grind the dough !! not edible!! we returned two pizzas and called Primo the Manager to complain about it!
