The Stevenson Monterey

The room was Awesome And the area was indeed excellent Looking forward to staying again...

The room was clean though. The refrigerator did not work and there is not a microwave.

Great clean room, good parking, great customer service

The staff (and owners) over the top in accomodating and seeking to ensure the stay is as stress-free as possible. So sincerely friendly! Very clean, private little pool and sun deck provide a sheltered sunny respite. Excellent location for for exploring Monterey…and there is parking provided! I felt safe leaving my vehicle under their watch as I spent the day enjoying the sights, sounds and smells of Monterey. I will no doubt be staying @ Stevenson again!

Don’t be fooled by the beautiful pictures. It’s like a low income apartment. The parking is horrific. There are five spaces in the front of the hotel. None for registration. To get to the underground parking you need to drive acting the block. No water bottles or microwave in the room. Elevator smells like it is never been vacuumed. The room smelled moldy. Both days we were there they had plumbing work being done early in the morning. The good walking distance to all the eateries, the Warf, and the freeway.

Excelent staff very clean rooms and the property felt very safe which is a plus, id reccomend the motel to all who like great staff great grounds and a safe invironment .when in Monterey ca and in the market for a room drop in at Sevensons motel.

Staff at check in was very friendly. Room was clean. Hotel was pretty old but the room was remodeled at some point. Price was good for Monterey and it was close to downtown. Stayed one night only while driving up the coast. The cathedral was a couple min walk for me to attend morning Mass so that was a plus.

I hope those baby seagulls are ok, the poor babies

Great location, walkable to downtown and the wharf. Dennys right across the street for breakfast. I would stay here again

We booked last minute for our two night stay in Monterey and the staff was extremely nice. It was in the PERFECT location to explore Monterey and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

The only cons I’d be point out are there is limited parking- not enough for everyone staying there when full so some might need to use street parking. And the outward facing rooms have poor soundproofing, which made it difficult to sleep at times. Overall for the price point I would happily stay here any time!

The room was very spacious and comfortable. It was in a good location near to shops. The staff were helpful and friendly The room we were in did have a loose floorboard between the bathroom and main room, but this was reported.

We had a great two night stay at the Stevenson. It was affordable, centrally located (and walkable to the beach, eateries, etc.), and clean. Parking is free and the employees are friendly.

Comfortable and clean. That’s all that matters.

Good location within walking distance to the wharf area. No breakfast, and underground parking had pools of water all over the place. Room and hotel needs some renovation to keep up with modern standards at that price point.

The room was clean. The location is convenient. The restroom is quite small and the price is relatively high.
