Hotel Abrego

The hotel had a great staff and gave us extra water bottles free of charge. Breakfast was great but not too expansive, it got the job done though. The rooms were a bit stuffy and the bathrooms were a bit old.

Great place to stay when you’re in Monterey. I was traveling for work. Their breakfast is better than your average Holiday Inn express the complementary glass of wine at night is among us too. Will definitely return.

Incredible value for a nice place and good walkable area of town with good restaurants around and a grocery store very close. The breakfast and evening happy hour were great - would happily stay again

The breakfast was just delicious!!! I don’t care for free breakfast because they tend to be all sugar and plastic but they really had it down. AMAZING sausages, fluffy scrambled eggs with pepper jack cheese on top and breakfast potatoes!! It was like we were at a brunch restaurant and REAL silverware showed care for the guests and the environment. It was a girls trip after we started empty nesting and this hotel helped the start of our trip on the right foot. Definitely visit again.

Broken fireplace, clogged shower. Called front desk and they didn’t attempt to fix it.

Good location, friendly staff, breakfast included, parking available. There was no hair dryer, microwave nor tea in the room.

Size of room and decorated tastefully. Bed was comfy. Location was good. Breakfast was average. Not much selection. The hot water had ran out at the drinks station. I asked the gentleman on the front desk if he could replenish the hot water so I could get a tea. After 10 minutes this was still not replenished. Poor customer service. Amenity charge of $40 to use WiFi, pool, parking, breakfast “included” and “complimentary” glass of house wine is exploitation and disappointing when the facilities are highlighted when booking. Overpriced for what we got.

Very clean. Beautiful aesthetic. Very comfortable It was a little bit warm in the room the AC wasn’t blowing that much air.

The room is very well cleaned. Front staff and bar tender are very attentive. Breakfast was beyond our expectations. Overall, we had a good two nights stay. For sure, we will be back!

Very convenient location. Our room was on the second floor so had to lug suitcases up the stairs, but we managed. Breakfast was adequate. They had a nice outdoor seating area with a outdoor fireplace where we enjoyed a free glass of wine every night. Comfy beds.

Overall, the property and room were clean and well maintained. Note, the breakfast was slow at refilling the Buffet and coffee; and the fitness room was minimal and could use some maintenance…like towels, disinfectant wipes to wipe down equipment, and the incline did not function on the treadmill.

Highly recommend! Super comfy bedding, quality toiletries, extremely clean. The breakfast selection changed a little everyday and was average - it included scrambled eggs, yogurt, oatmeal, bagels, fresh fruit. Some days they added sausage, hash brown potatoes and pancakes. Of course many juices, a variety of milks, coffees and teas. The bar was well stocked too. Walkable area and very safe area.
