Inn By the Bay Monterey

Good

This is a very cute hotel. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very helpful.

We were roomed on the 2nd floor. Room smelled clean but, was far from it. Walls/baseboards, where dirty (needs a cleaning and paint job) multiple tiles on the floor were cracked and lose. Shower needed a good subbing and regrouding. There was used tissue in the bathroom cupboard, towels were dirty and or stained. Due to it being one night, last min and late night, we stayed. However we did go buy towels at near by store as well as a blanket. Unfortunately we will not be returning or recommending. It has potential but needs work. Pictures may be a little deceiving.

Just what we needed for an overnight stay at Monterey. One cool thing that we also experienced was that the property is running on a soft water tap system.

Clean room The staff. Called the cops because I asked for an extra pillow. She was very rude and made no sense.

Monterey is beautiful location was really good. The lady who runs the place was not nice at all..nosey rude just generally not a good person to run a hotel..not returning.motel half painted the back really needs painting just did the front that you can see from the street

The room was very spacious, clean, staff on the front desk was very nice. Parking is great Nothing. I like it so much

We had an issue with a clogged shower and they fixed the same day!

The room was not clean at checking. However, when staff was prompted they cleaned it immediately.

Comfortable well appointed and a superb shower/bathroom. Well decorated to a good standard and a comfy bed! All amenities you could want. Really great value for money. Location a little out of the centre but still walkable. Car park is tight for large trucks

I liked the location and bathroom. It was not as clean as the pictures.

Location, close to everything we needed. Tight parking, but that’s just how it is everywhere in the area. No ev charging available, but there are several charging places really close by. Not a big deal but it would be cool. Didn’t see any vending machines, made us venture out, so not a big deal, but would be cool.

it was newly renovated It was dirty, there were hairs on the floor. We only had three pillows and they all had either makeup stains and dirt on them. And when we asked for a new pillow, they said that they had no pillows or any pillowcases so we had to sleep without pillows or they gave us option to cancel, but we literally got to the hotel at 12 in the morning and most of the other hotels were booked out.
