Villa Franca Inn

Clean, safe basic place to stay at a good price. Lots of road noise will prevent me from staying again, but I’m a light sleeper.

Great little hotel. Clean and comfy. Not the most updated but that was ok for us and a quick trip to the area. We would stay here again. Clean bathrooms and room. Comfy beds. Just what we needed. Easy check in and friendly staff.

Great location for walking to the wharf and downtown Monterey. It appeared to be newly remodeled and everything was clean and nice. Enjoyed the bathroom soap, lotion, etc. It would be nice to have another chair in the room. Plenty of room for another chair in our room. It was a little loud with the window open as our room was close to the intersection. Quite with the window closed.

Clean place, welcoming and friendly staff. Easy access walkable to all downtown, the wharf, cannery row. Would stay here again.

Our three days stay was nice, room was better than expected clean and spacious. The location is pretty great, we walked to the Wharf, downtown for dinner and a farmers market, and to Friendly Park. Hotel is within miles of all of the favorite tourist spots.

Not as clean as the reviews stated. Stain on carpet, bathroom floor few dirty along baseboards and slight mold growth in the shower.

Not a bad place to stay but not for kids. The property does not have a pool and the parking lot is quite small but it works. An easy 10 min walk takes you to several shops, restaurants, and other local specialties where families can enjoy. Although I wouldn’t stay again, it’s better suited for couples

Room was very clean, and good size. Room service and cleaning was exceptional. Beds could use a little updating on bedding and mattress, my husband said the dip in the middle hurt his back. Walls are a little thin so you can hear everything. Overall it’s a great little spot or a quick getaway that’s walkable to everything.

The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a good size. Didn’t smell like smoke, thankfully. Appears to be family run, I saw three generations. Last year when I stopped in Monterey, I found that long row of 20+ motels and hotels all on one street. I thought I’d just go there again, but I’m glad I found this place instead. This will be my favorite stopover to return to every summer!.

The hotel was very clean overall. Comfortable beds and nice property. Great location, loved the short walk to excellent breakfast spot. The carpet in the room was stained and seemed a little dirty.
