Colton Inn

Great breakfast, very clean room, had a boutique feel without the price.

Front desk was very courteous, helpful, & polite. Inn was very close to downtown. Room was very clean. Available free parking.

The room was clean, comfortable, and had a cozy, home-like feel that made it easy to relax after a day of exploring. The location was another big plus—it's only about a 15-minute walk to the wharf, making it convenient without being right in the middle of the crowds. If you're looking for a comfortable, charming place to stay with great service and an excellent location, I would definitely recommend the Colton Inn.

I will recommend anyone wanting to visit Monterey, CA to stay here at Colton inn! Hotel near a lot of shops, restaurants and stores at a walking distance. Also everything at a driving distance of a hour like to Santa Cruz. All staff like Kristen and Allen are the best very helpful in everything you ask or need! Thank you Colton inn!

Place was clean, slept well, Cute nature setting, we enjoyed all the birds and the tiny creek in the back it was a great place to drink my coffee and read my book. We didn’t eat here we wanted to eat in town.

Would stay there again.

As someone visiting Monterey for the first time, the location was ideal right in the middle of everything we wanted to do. And the fact that parking is completely free was a huge bonus! Highly recommend this hotel, especially if you’re looking for great value without sacrificing comfort or convenience. We’ll definitely be back!

Good location, nice room. Fireplace in the bedroom was a pleasant surprise!

Rooms were clean and fairly comfortable. Breakfast was okay with cereal, croissants, yogurt and descent coffee for a quick grab and go. Location was very good and walkable to downtown eateries and fisherman’s wharf with the trolley stop being nearby as well. Parking a little tight if busy.

Great location. Clean spacious room but best of all the staff is very friendly and helpful.

The Inn is Extremely Clean, everywhere we went from Lobby Ck-in, our room, bathroom, breakfast area, and outside area. The staff were all Great, especially Ellen at front desk, she was professional & personable. The Inn is older & outdated but the extreme cleanliness makes it feel good & nostalgic. Great price & included a good breakfast each morning. We are definitely returning, great location near enough to walk to everything.

Back deck lovely. Perfect walking distance to downtown. Will stay here if in town again!

Breakfast is cold

The check-in staff was arrogant and sarcastic. She turned us off of the hotel from the minute of check-in. We had a question about breakfast and she sarcastically answered “It is not steak and eggs” and snickered.

We enjoyed our stay at Colton. The staff was friendly, room were super clean and comfortable, breakfast is not the best but it’s not bad. And the location is definitely a 5-star!

The breakfast was ok. They only had croissants , cereal, apple and waffles. Croissants and waffles were bit fresh and stale.
