Very romantic and beautiful grounds.

What a wonderful experience at this Inn. The decor is absolutely gorgeous. What an opportunity to stay in the home of the first mayor of Carmel.The grounds are beautiful and the service is outstanding! I felt so taken care of. Every detail was thought of in advance by the Inn team. Definitely will stay there again.

Breakfast was outstanding. Every day something different, Staff was incredible. They even picked up a birthday cake for the birthday girl and had a beautiful bouquet of roses ready. The property was just incredible. Beautifully landscaped and well maintained. The property itself was gorgeous but the surrounding area was very boring and plain. Short drive to the more interesting parts of town tough.

Our stay was so nice, the room was so cute and unique. Staff was so friendly and helpful. I loved the breakfast each morning.

Facilities were beautiful and Manager Martha went above and beyond to make us feel welcome!

The breakfast each morning was delicious and a great way to start the day. I also loved the location, as it was perfectly situated to easily explore the nearby shops and local attractions. Everything about this inn felt unique and well-cared for. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and high-quality getaway in Monterey. I can’t wait to come back!

What a cozy hotel! Was great for a weekend get away. The breakfast in the dining room so delicious and I loved getting to know the other travelers. Bed was very comfortable. I would stay here again and try different rooms since they are all themed differently. I felt like Belle from beauty in the beast in the library room.

The suite was lovely and comfortable. The gardens are well-maintained and walking through them is a relaxing pleasure. The staff is very accommodating; they served us breakfast in the room early so we could make our conference meetings. The breakfasts are delicious and not run-of-the-mill -- we particularly liked the French toast and the baked eggs casserole. The only problem is that the wi-fi goes in and out. Also the sofa bed is quite high and makes it rather uncomfortable to eat from the table. All in all, we would highly recommend this b & b and will definitely return next time we visit Monterey.

It was my first stay in a bed and breakfast, it was charming and comfortable. Wendy was a great hostess.

The service and attention to detail were amazing. The room was comfortable, though the bed was a bit harder than we like. Staff couldn't have been more attentive. Breakfast and breakfast service were fantastic. Bed was a bit hard. No fan in the bathroom.

No shops nearby but downtown is a short drive
