Holiday Inn Express Monterey-Cannery Row by IHG

Overall is nice hotel, good location, walking distance to aquarium and restaurants. But the room facing the street is noisy and no any sound proofing.

Small rooms. Snack machines non operational. Staff was great.

The location of the hotel is great. Wharf is in walking distance. Parking is free in a garage Because of its location it is way overpriced. Unfortunately no better option with the same services and quality.

The staff was nice Sofa bed was missing springs and extremely squeaky. Bathroom door was squeaky and would get stuck. Beds were very hard. Neighbors above us were constantly stomping g around and screaming. Neighbor down the hall from us was leaving dirty diapers outside their door

This place was the perfect location for our visit to Monterey Aquarium and Cannery Row. Free parking and free breakfast was wonderful, it’s hard to find good hotels that offer both. When I checked in I was tired and having a stressful day but the staff was kind, professional and helped turn the day around for us. The rooms were clean, the free breakfast was good and it was in walking distance or a short drive to everything we were boating. We will definitely return next visit to Monterey.

Loved the location and atmosphere of the property. Breakfast was great and front desk staff were very helpful and friendly.

It was very disappointing to have a room on the third floor that was VERY loud. The windows were very thin and we heard street noises all night long. I was shocked that this property had such flimsy & thin windows. And it was even more upsetting that we paid almost $500/night for this room and we got very little sleep because of the street noise. I will certainly not be back or recommend this to anyone.

The breakfast was amazing !! Staff was great and even remembered our names . Would highly recommend To be honest it was great.

The property is under renovation but nice. The staff was wonderful. The price for rooms at this hotel were outrageous to me for what it is.

Amazing, clean , location awesome

Unfortunately our room was on bottom floor next to stairs, elevator and lobby. Very very noisy all day and night. Staff said they were fully booked so nothing could be done and did not offer any sort of refund. Shouldn’t be charging full rate for a poorly placed room subject to so much noise. The room was nice and clean and the location was perfect but will never go back due to the noise.

The best that I could say was that the room was clean. No hot water and no heat from the heater. When telling the clerk, she said to just let the water run. After about 20 minutes, the water finally got hot. The clerk said to turn the heater all the way up. That worked too. Neither solution was a good one. What a waste. The elevator door was staying half way closed. The employee said that's ok. ?? I took the stairs. When going downstairs, watch out for the webs. I did like that it was within walking distance to the restaurants and shops. All and all, I was very disappointed though. There was no attempt to compensate or fix the issues.

I like the location and the breakfast. It did not have laundry facilities.

They had a very nice breakfast with lots of variety. Checking in was easy and fast.
