Perfect location for exploring Monterey. Nice staff, clean property and having a balcony to sit and view the harbor is special.

Friendly Staff. The included, and delivered daily, breakfast was a huge Bonus. Even my Son loved it! Quiet and z clean. My new Go To.

The free parking facilities were the best. The bay view could not be beat at any competitor facility.

Beautiful property

Nice waterfront hotel and made for convenient base camp to Monterey, Carmel/Pebble etc. Staff is very good. Property is a little tired inside and out but would stay again.

The free breakfast each day brought to your room was excellent! The A/C system (thermostat) was way more complicated than it should have been. The room and bathroom were excellent.

Bed was very comfortable. Lots of towels were provided. It was close enough to walk everywhere to restaurants, fisherman's wharf, and the Aquarium.

This hotel was a great find in Monterey! Super comfortable beds and pillows, a great miniature continental breakfast with fresh baked pastries, and stellar views of sea otters right off our balcony. It’s very centrally located, so you can park your car and walk everywhere. The staff was really friendly and helpful as well.

Would of liked to have been able to check in a little earlier

We really wanted to like this hotel. After all, it had a good location in Monterey and it had a nice view of the water. The pictures on the website looked good. And we thought that with a hefty price we would be staying at a high-quality hotel. However, we were extremely disappointed with the property. Upon arrival we had to self-park (no valet) in a very tight parking area under the building. The one elevator for the hotel was extremely slow and outdated. There was no special lobby or lounge area and the hotel had no dining facility on site. There were multiple stains on the carpet walkways and the public windows in the hallway looked out over unsightly views (Perhaps they could consider some window treatment?) Our room was a good size with a clean updated bathroom. So kudos for that. However, some of the furniture was old and chipped, neither of our bedside reading lights worked, and there was a general musty smell in the room. There was no air conditioning. They had a stand-up fan instead. Overall, this property needs to be updated and maintained. I might understand if we were only paying a few hundred dollars for an overnight. But we paid over $500 for our one night stay and know that for that same rate we could have stayed at a much more luxurious and desirable place.

Fantastic view from the balcony and bed. . Quality furnishings and bedding. An upscale experience worthy of Cannery Row. Breakfast was continental nd adequate.

Fantastic location. Just heads up there is no central AC and they provide you with fan. Monterey temperatures are always between 60-70F. We traveled with kids and the stay was very comfortable with fan only.
