Convenient area to ho to the wharf.

Me and family booked this hotel last minute due to an issue at different hotel. Jocelyn at the front desk helped us out and was so kind and quickly took care of us. The hotel had one broke down elevator and one working on the other side. After hearing this she gave us the room with the elevator working. This hotel is visually beautiful and the rooms feel like a little home. We had a junior suite with a fireplace, a pull out couch, it has a shower and a bath tub and a shower. Also an outside balcony that I believe could used some more TLC. It just felt a bit dirty. I enjoy the little place so much I booked another night! It also really close to the downtown, yummy restaurants, and not too far from the aquarium. I would recommend this place to others!

At check in the person did not smile and wasn’t exactly friendly. The bed was comfy. I liked there was a tub and shower. It was as a quiet place once all check in’s were settled in. The TV was mounted far across the room and the remote was was sticky to the touch. The kitchen area table top was warped and the coffee maker didn’t work. I didn’t use the fireplace. I feel this hotel was beautiful back in the day but it seems a bit rundown and not taken care of properly.

Pull out bed was incredibly uncomfortable and worthless Walls are paper thin and you can hear every person walking by the front door. No EV charging at all and minimal in the town over all, so adding that would be helpful. Staff felt like they don't care.

The hotel was good in many ways, but the could be better maintained. We had a porch covered by muddy dog prints, and had ants in the room. They did come and take care of the ants. Also if you want housekeeping you need to be out of your room by 9:30 AM. They came every 30 mins until we left for the day. Not a bad place by any means, but it could have been better.

Our luxury suite was genuinely impressive. The room was spacious, well laid out, and had a cozy fireplace that immediately made the stay feel more elevated. The double beds were comfortable, the balcony added a relaxing outdoor touch, and the overall atmosphere struck a perfect balance between coastal charm and modern comfort. It’s the kind of room where you instantly feel settled, not just accommodated. Despite being a last-minute booking, the service was smooth and friendly, and the hotel never felt overcrowded or chaotic. The location is also ideal, close enough to walk to the waterfront, restaurants, and Cannery Row, yet tucked away just enough to feel peaceful. Hotel Pacific ended up being far nicer than we expected, and it genuinely enhanced our time in Monterey. For anyone looking for a clean, charming, and surprisingly luxurious stay, especially if you’re booking on the fly, this hotel is an easy recommendation.

Great hotel in a great area, breakfast was subpar though

Great location. Has character and charm.

There were no towels in my room. Then I couldn’t reach a person at the front desk or housekeeping because the front desk person would just hang up the phone when it rang. What a joke. I wouldn’t recommend staying here at Hotel Paxific. I had friends staying at the Marriott across the street and that hotel was well staffed and professional.

Good location

Negatives: no hot tub as advertised- it’s permanently closed; breakfast was mediocre at best, though still nice to have as an option. There were so many stairs around the property! My daughter has low vision and it was really hard for her to navigate around. Another person in our party has mobility challenges and also found it hard. The elevator was broken. On the last night, our key pad stopped working and we had to wait an hour to get let into our room. We got scolded by a staff who didn’t want to help and made that known.

We can hear the neighbor easily though and breakfast is motel6 grade, disappointing for $400 a night stay

The location is ideal for us; we were able to walk to local spots to eat, Cannery Row and Fishermans Wharf. Also, plenty of historic spots throughout the area. We found the staff extremely helpful and they attended to our needs efficiently. The space is lovely and we enjoyed our time there.

Good location.

Room was pretty dirty and grungy. Food was molded and crusted onto our ice picker for ice bucket, everything was kinda dirty from blankets to tables to patio. That being said, the room was great. Spacious, comfy beds, large patio outside. We brought dogs and they enjoyed the space. Have to walk off property to find a place for the dogs to go to the bathroom though. All in all I enjoyed the place.

Location is good and walking distance to the wharf. The rooms are nice and clean. Breakfast was decent. They just need to fix the elevator.

The needs help: this hotel could be so much better with some fairly simple upgrades. The bed was very springy, clearly having seen many visitors without a change in mattress. The towels were thread worn. But you get what you pay for and this was an affordable option for a one night stay so not too many complaints.

Where do I start? So the hotel is not the cleanest, with exterior looking run down. In the room, we got semi warm water for showers, bathroom showers and tub had mold, the sheets/bed had bugs and the staff was not helpful at all. Definitely disappointed since I selected the hotel based on reviews.

Spacious suite with comfortable bed, nice sitting areas, and balcony. Wished we had planned to stay a few more days!
