The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The shower was awful, terrible water pressure, hard to switch off and very slippy inside the bath. The cold water tap took 5 minutes to run cold, so showers and using the sink took a long time to get the water temperature right. We received no housekeeping during our stay, although to be fair, when we complained they replaced the towels. They charge a destination fee of$30 a night which was on top of what we paid despite when we booked it being told that the amount included all fees. The hotel cost over $600 a night and was absolutely not worth it. Also it was booked on the basis of breakfast being included but despite us being 3 adults and a 16 year old, breakfast was only available to two adults and two under 12’s. This was not made clear on the booking but this may not be anything to do with the hotel and more to do with booking.com.

I was upset with the misunderstanding of the free breakfast.

I love the location, how clean the property was, how quick they were to help me with my late check-in, and how clean the room was.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were modern and comfortable. Bathroom was very dark making shaving and makeup difficult. Needed one more chair. Parking at $50/ day, small driveway always crowded.

The location was wonderful. It was within walking distance to the theater and shops. Paying a resort fee when we did not avail ourselves of these amenities.

How helpful the staff was, they did everything they could to take care of my and my dog! I didn't like how when you sat on the toilet your arm hits the toilet paper roll on the wall.

Rooms are clean and spacious. The property is older than it looks. Walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbors and people in the corridor. Pipelines make a terrible sound whenever somebody use the bathroom. Wouldn’t stay again. There are several better hotels in Monterey for this price range.

The property was clean and the staff were pleasant. However, when we checked into our room there were used room service trays outside the door and our room wasn’t cleaned the next day. No one answered the phone number for service, so we had to go to the front desk to ask for towels so we could shower.
