Everything was fine

The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was no ice bucket in the room. When we asked for one, the front desk staff offered us a bucket of water. ?? We couldn’t watch tv unless we paid for channels. I thought that was included in the price of the room. Breakfast was good. They had waffles! 😊. The breakfast area was rather warm.

I love the staff! Mrs. Pat was so sweet and willing to help! Also the lady with the short hair and the lady with the dreads (can’t remember their names. It was clean, the breakfast was good and hot! I didn’t like how the air wasn’t getting colder. So I didn’t sleep well as I wanted. But the staff did try to help with setting it for me.

Everything was good until I reviewed what was booked and I got up the next day to shower. 1st I noticed whay was booked and where I stayed wasnt the same. The room was supposed to have a couch and microwave. I had to not allow one of the kids to stay because of space. Secondly we didnt have all the towels and no toilet paper. We made due because we were in a rush to get to campus and we bought some stuff from Walmart and used that.

This is a nice hotel in historic building and in a good location. However, definitely ask for a room away from the street. Unfortunately although we were only there on a Wednesday night there was booming music that came through the windows, even though we were shut. I had trouble falling asleep.

Beautiful historical building. Friendly, helpful staff. The breakfast was disappointing, but we came close to the end (about 9:40am for a breakfast that was supposed to go until 10am), so that may have had something to do with it. The location was also excellent, with an easy walk to many local restaurants and other establishments, and the Riverwalk.

Nothing Nothing where to park, staff was rude, I got double charged, police had the street blocked couldn’t park within 2 blocks of the hotel.

I love Montgomery and I thought this hotel was really great, especially for the price, which was really reasonable. I feel bad a little, because there are things that are happening at the hotel, like a leak in the ceiling and the register system at the desk being out of service, ALL outside of staff’s control. The housekeeper dealing with the water leak worked VERY hard to keep up with the large puddle. The workers at the valet parking were fabulous. And Lila at the desk was outstanding. So friendly and helpful and efficient. I would stay here again, mostly to support the excellent staff.

Nothing The location may have been in the heart of the city but my family and I did not feel safe staying there. We actually left and found a new hotel. We will never go back.

Great location! It’s within walking distance of everything downtown. The staff were very kind and helpful. They let us check in early. The breakfast was great. The tv didn’t work. Also, we waited for 20 for the valet and ended up parking down the street at public parking- which was cheaper and close enough to walk back to easily so it wasn’t a big deal.

Perfect location and clean rooms, the front desk staff was the best! Very welcoming and friendly the whole weekend.

All of the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful.

We had 2 rooms, one for my parents & one for myself. We needed to change both rooms, mine immediately due to safety concerns and my parents’ (608) because it did not have a thermostat in the room and the AC was not working. (These are octogenarians who LIKE warmer temps & even THEY couldn’t handle the heat.). The lock on my original room (603) barely latched; it could be pushed open far enough to see into the room itself. Almost seemed as though someone had tried to break into the room (the lock plate on the door jamb was twisted) but it had not been repaired. I also felt short of breath and dizzy/trembly within a few minutes of settling into the room. Requested a room change which was granted. My new room was better, except the sheets and pillows did not smell fresh (the pillows smelled strongly of makeup). We stayed in 3 hotels in a 5 day trip and the other 2 were 100% better than this one. Edit to add: street noise was VERY loud both nights of our stay. Could hear music from a bar or restaurant nearby & people yelling on the street.
