Courtyard by Marriott Scranton Montage Mountain

My room was disgustingly dirty. The tub was disgusting with rust and mold. Stains everywhere in the room. I would never book this hotel again.

Room smells really bad

Great stay, very clean, staff was great and professional. If you are looking for a place to stay thats very close to Montage Mountain, stay here. I will be back. But, I had to get evacuated by fire department due to a “gas smell” there was no gas leak but everyone got evacuated. They did refund is but being stuck without a place to stay at 10 at night was hectic.

Decent stay, cool view, hotel was a little dated BUT it was clean and had what was needed. The downside was the menu/bar area. extremely limited menu (mostly stuff that is likely heated in a microwave) and out of almost all alcohol. Sitting down and having a decent drink after a 12 hour drive wasn't an option and it was a little disappointing. Would stay again. Good value for the money.

Nice place

The room was very musty and in need of a refurbishment. I would not recommend this hotel for this reason. The other hotel amenities were as expected.

The location was close to everything but not in the city where all the traffic is. The advertising is confusing. The fold out sofas are really small not big enough for two adults. Plus the mattress is thin and stained. There was no sheets or blankets to make up the mattress. The shear curtains are shredded. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned after the previous occupants. They advertised a heated pool and whirlpool. The pool was not heated and there wasn’t a whirlpool to be found anywhere on the property. They advertised breakfast available and we assumed it was included and we discovered that we were mistaken.

It was great value for the price and close to the highway.

The facility was in good condition and the staff was friendly and met all our requests. One suggestion - it might be time for new mattresses. 3 of the 4 beds we used in our 2 rooms were sunk in the middle.

NOTHING since they double booked our room and we did NOT get to stay here. This hotel double booked our room that we were supposed to stay at in June, even though I booked my room back in September. They never called to let me know the room was booked and that there was no more rooms available.. so at 1:30 in the morning when I went to said hotel after being outside all day at a concert in the heat and we were EXTREMELY exhausted, the manager proceeded to tell me that they had no room for us and this has happened to at least 6 other families before us. We all had reservations with this hotel and yet, there were no rooms available for us even though we had already paid for the room. The manager was extremely Rude, and had a smirk on her face the whole time I was explaining to her we drove 3 hours away for this concert and were too tired to drive home, and showed her my booking confirmation email for the hotel room. She was very un-empathetic to our situation and didn’t even offer to help us find somewhere else to stay. She then proceeded to tell us she doesn’t even work at this hotel and just filled in for a friend that evening.. I’m pretty positive that was a lie. She then told me no other workers were at the hotel at all that day, no manager or other employees when I requested to speak to a manager. She gave me a card for the “manager” which I called the next day, and they answered for a completely different hotel name, and then the person just hung up on me. Needless to say, we ended up having to drive home 3 hours, all night long extremely tired, putting all of our safeties in jeopardy since we had no room to stay as we had planned for. This was BY FAR the worst hotel experience I have ever encountered, and don’t ever want to be in this situation again. I would NEVER book a room at this hotel again if it were the last place on Earth. I highly recommend you don’t either, unless you want to potentially not have a room to stay at and be in a very bad situation like we experienced..

Great place to stay, friendly staff

Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told that the hotel had been overbooked and that our reserved room was no longer available. The only rooms remaining had not yet been cleaned, and we were offered one of those rooms instead. When we expressed our concerns, the only solution provided was a refund. While we appreciate the refund, it did little to address the situation. Due to limited availability in the area, there were no other hotels with vacancies. As a result, my wife, our two children, and I were forced to spend the night sleeping in our car before continuing our trip the next day. This experience was incredibly frustrating and stressful for our family. Given the circumstances, I feel that a refund alone was not an adequate resolution. If the hotel truly values customer loyalty and wants guests to consider staying with this brand again, additional efforts should have been made to address the hardship caused by the overbooking and lack of accommodation.

Breakfast was better than average, even though it was not complementary. Room temperature was very uncomfortable due to broken HVAC.

No amenities. Not even bottled water in the room. Room was not made up. Was told it’s only done every other day. Breakfast was not gratis. Was told by the front desk that all that information is on the website and is true nationwide. I will not be returning
