    No towels in the pool area

    Unfortunately, the hotel is not well maintained. There were weird stains on the couch, and the pullout couch was more of an ottoman that pulled out than a bed. There was a rip in the carpeting. The entire hotel smelled like marijuana very strongly. It was mostly fine in our room, until the next morning when it seemed to have drifted in. You could smell the marijuana smell as soon as you walked into the lobby.

    Probably was my worst Marriott experience-everything is very dated and furnishings were very worn. The kitchen had a microwave on the counter that was plugged in and a built in microwave that was not plugged in. We did not use the pool or the hot tub because they did not appear to be very clean-not sure if it was just from the age of the pool but neither the pool or the hot tub were very inviting. We did have one specific issue with our unit: the dead bolt lock would come out when we turned the handle to leave the unit, therefore the door did not close. We were very aware of the issue, so we always made sure that the door fully closed. On June 15th we attended the Big Boy event and were gone most of the day - when we returned the deadlock was out and the door was not closed or locked, which we assume happened when the maid replenished our towels. I reported that to the front desk and he indicated to me that sometimes that happens with the locks, you just have to work the handle a bit. My question to you would be "If the front desk knows that the locks can be a problem, doesn't the service staff know as well?" The service staff should have checked the door when leaving. I think that malfunctioning locks, a security issue, would be a priority item to be addressed. However, the unit was clean, front desk staff was helpful as well as the breakfast staff. The breakfast offerings were quite good and the offering of free soda, ice cream and coffee was appreciated.

    Property I thought was going to be a higher scale, they had black tape on the floor moldings, half the tvs in the room didn't work. Our room was not properly prepared for the amount of guest. The beds were uncomfortable and small. The pull out couch mattress was covered in stains. The breakfast and pool was the best part of the hotel.

    Nice hotel for a family trip. The staff was friendly and helpful. There were 24 hr coffee / tea service and complimentary snacks, and the included breakfast had lots of options. Gym would have been nice if we were staying longer, and the indoor pool was clean with lots of towels options.

    We were in what was considered a suite. The sofa bed when opened left no room between in and the king bed therefore in an emergency situation there was no exit space without climbing over the bed. Also the mattress on the sofa bed was awful. Things seemed clean but there were items like the hinges on the door in the bathroom that looked dirty because it was rusted. The staff was excellent to work with. WiFi was okay but when you tried to get on it stated that it was only available to Marriot Bonvoy members but I was able to skip that. Breakfast was good but the seating was very minimal and the area where the food was placed was very confined.
