We always stay at this hotel for concerts or games in the area. We stayed in a different part of the hotel than usual this time and the hotel was very busy with both a concert and Railriders game on a holiday weekend. This room had some spots of mold in the shower that I never observed in other rooms. Breakfast was usual fare but they had sausage mislabeled as potatoes (thank goodness I lifted the lid to inspect and didn't just skip), decaf coffee was cold, half and half? wasn't labeled, there was no black pepper for eggs, raisin bagel was hard as a rock, and cream cheese wasn't real. Despite these little things, stay was quiet and comfy after a long night and drive. Will stay again, just hoping previous quality/service resume on next stay and this was just the result of a busy holiday weekend.

I hope I would have liked it if I was actually able to stay in the room I booked and paid for. I booked a stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Scranton Montage Mountain and specifically chose this hotel because the rooms appeared more updated, comfortable, and modern, including the shower. I also purchased travel insurance for the trip and contacted the hotel ahead of time to let them know I would be arriving very late, around 12–1 AM. I received confirmation that my reservation was secured and that the hotel could accommodate my late check-in. When I arrived around 12–1 AM, I found the last available parking spot and went inside expecting to check into the room I had prepaid for. Instead, I was told that the hotel had overbooked by approximately 6–7 rooms and that there was no room available for us. I was then told they were aware of the situation and had arranged for guests to stay at their sister property, the Hampton Inn Scranton at Montage Mountain. I asked whether there would be a price difference or any adjustment since I had prepaid for the Fairfield and was now being moved to a different hotel. I was told that the price would remain the same. The employee at the Fairfield was very nice and professional, and I genuinely felt bad for her because I’m sure she had already dealt with multiple upset guests over the same situation. Unfortunately, being polite does not change how frustrating the situation was. I loaded all of our luggage back into the car and drove another five minutes to the Hampton Inn. Once again, parking was extremely difficult to find. When we entered, the front desk was empty, and an employee eventually spoke to us from a back room. I provided my name and reservation information and was simply told to take the room card from the table. The Hampton Inn room itself was extremely disappointing. It smelled musty, felt uncomfortable, and appeared noticeably outdated. This was especially frustrating because I had intentionally selected and prepaid for the Fairfield Inn & Suites based on the quality and appearance of its rooms.

Beautiful view out back and very convenient location for what we wanted to do. Our room view sucked.

The hotel was oversold, they didn't contact me and I found out after pulling my bags to the check in counter with 2 young kids in tow. They moved me to a motel that was dirty & disgusting that I couldn't stand to sleep in. Completely ruined

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The room was great. Clean. Spacious. Quiet. The patio outback was really nice to sit and talk in the beautiful mountain weather. I can’t really comment on the breakfast. We missed it both days. There hotel us super close to the Pavilion at Montage Mountain so travel to the hotel after concert is quick and easy. We will be booking here again.

The hotel location was in a great area, there was lots of food options and shopping. The room is very spacious, especially traveling with teens. The hotel was very up-to-date and clean. The staff was very friendly and informative. The gentleman that checked me in was great and offered a room of the mountains which we appreciate it and gay recommendations to restaurants nearby. The breakfast option in the morning was pretty reasonable, clean and refreshed often. Overall, it was a great hotel to stay in there was convenience to the railroad where we were attending for an event and also the different food options and shopping available around the property was great too.

the hotel is nice and fresh . outside the grass needed to be cut. looked a little unkept. The staff in the breakfast area were friendly and doing a great job considering they were out of cream and milk . The reception staff were very friendly and got us in our room in a timely manner.
