Comfort Suites New Braunfels - San Antonio Area

The property is old and outdated. There was no air conditioning, in the hall and it was not working too good in the room. In a good note the hotel did have a good smell to it. I do not think the beds were queen size as advertised. there was open shampoo bottle in the restroom. The breakfast was ok, the had eggs, sausage, coffee, juice, waffles and apples and bananas. Location wise was good, there is a buc-ees close by and the outlets are not too far.

The hotel room was clean. It had everything. It said that it was going to. The only issue was the AC wasn’t working properly that day and so we had to request a room fan. I also wish they could provide a bassinet or playpen because we had our infant with us.

Cold room Mini fridge wasn't working. Pillows were small and uncomfortable, no shampoo or soap in shower.

The carpet is dirty, the Wires under the A/C are exposed, and there is a musty, wet smell in the room.

When I booked the motel, I told him I needed to go in there about one hour earlier and they approved it when I got there. They wanted to charge me $25 the second floor. The hallway had no air conditioning they had fans going.

The refrigerator in our room wasn't working but they got us taken care of right away! All staff was wonderful and so friendly! Breakfast was a bit limited but decent. All in all it was a pleasant comfortable 3 night stay!

The ceiling in our room looked like they attempted to repair but area still had gap that wasn’t flush with the ceiling. Eggs and sausage area for breakfast had weird odor. We ate cold cereal both mornings we were there.

Room had a bit of a smell, some dirt or mold in the bathroom, small hole in the wall, and the AC struggled. Decent breakfast. The staff were helpful.

They tried to up charge me for my 3 children 200 dollars for the complimentary breakfast. So we did not get any free breakfast there.

Everything was as expected for the price. Stayed here for a work trip and the rooms were clean with the bathroom needing a minor touch up paint but that common in every hotel unless you pay $200+ per night. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. I plan on staying here again without worry!

The air conditioning in my original room was not cooling properly, making the room extremely uncomfortable\. • The ADA shower chair provided for my mother was small and unstable, particularly because it was being used in a bathtub rather than a walk\-in shower\. Because this was an accessibility accommodation, I was seriously concerned about my mother’s safety\. • On Friday night, excessive noise came from the room across from mine from approximately 10:00 p\.m\. until 1:30 a\.m\. I reported the issue to the front desk\. At the time, a group of approximately six people in the lobby was also being extremely loud, and I believe they were associated with the same room\. Despite my complaint, it did not appear that sufficient action was taken to control the noise\. I was awakened approximately six times and received very little sleep\. On Sat the staff did allow me to change rooms but the upstairs AC was out all weekend in that hall. Which means I. was hot and sweaty waiting for the elevator inside that hall. Unacceptable !

Location was good First, I was given a room that was still occupied by someone else and my room key allowed me and my wife to go into someone else’s room!! This was extremely dangerous!!! The room was trashed and still occupied! Luckily no one was inside at the time!! Second, when I went down to notify the hotel personnel, she questioned the situation and couldn’t believe that she had given me a room that was still occupied and that the key worked! The room number was 231 in case no one from management believes me! Then I was given a second room 225, and I asked her to go check it herself! I informed her that I was a police officer and that the situation could have been extremely dangerous for my wife, myself and others! Her reaction was minimal to say the least. I asked for a discount and she said she couldn’t do that!! The Only reason we stayed in the second room was due to the extremely dangerous storm that had come in as we arrived. The storm caused extensive damage in the area with winds reaching over 70 mph. The 2nd floor hallway was extremely hot with no air circulation. The room, 225 had broken fixtures from the handles in the shower, a broken shower tile that had a hole. The corners on the walls were all damaged. The towels were questionable. The pillows were in the shape and size of basketballs! There was only 1 1/2 role of TP. The shower head was constantly dripping. The entry door to the room had a broken piece of wood where either someone tried to enter forcibly or was damaged by other means. The front door also had more gaps all around the door!! I was informed that the hotel has a no smoking policy which they have the customer sign. I approached the hotel front desk that the form that they had me sign was to the first room 231 that I was given. I told them that the people in that room had been smoking and drinking and that I better not be charged for that damage!! The girl didn’t even bother to look for the signed document.

No A/C in hallways, took the room a long time to cool off had to put it on the lowest setting on the a/c. Room had stains on the wall and black stuff in the tub. Stains on pillow cases and bedding. 60$ more you can get an elegant room at the hotel next door. If you need something cheap and quick then this is the place. The bed was super comfortable though.
