Motel 6 New Cumberland, PA - Harrisburg - Hershey South

The hardwood floors were clean. The wood furniture was worn. The bed covering was stained. The two pillows were marginal. The closed pool outside was definitely unusable and had a ragged covering. Exterior was drab also. This particular hotel/motel had all the earmarks of a franchise establishment w/o care, rather than owned directly by the corporation. The only thing positive was its location and price, but even with that being known, I would stay elsewhere.

The pool when we could Woke up to a drunk outside of room passed out and not very clean

Had a reservation on a relatively busy weekend due to a concert. Only offered rooms on arrival were strictly “smoking-friendly” rooms. Understandably, smelled like an ash tray. I was offered Lysol if the smell was “too bad,” but that’s “about all that can be done,” according to staff. Denied any type of refund due to third-party booking. Uprooted the stay and paid for a different property’s room. Not great

In the end, no matter what is written, it is a Motel 6. The pillows were thinner than that a couple sheets of paper but for the most part I had no issues.

Sheets blood stained and cigarette holes , hair in sheets , dirt on bedspread

The beds were probably there since hotel open stains all over the mattresses. Horrible stains as my daughter said looks like somebody was shot. Should just go ahead and go in as they spot Check on the property that's your company sign in the sky there. Staff was very friendly and helpful

It is an older motel but the rooms were very clean. The staff was very good. If you have a lot on electronics, the rooms are basic. I didn't so it was fine for me. I would consider this motel again.

Dirty on all hallways and stair wells and bad element hanging around......also web page for motel looked a lot better then actual place and no pool....

I often travel with pets, so frequent Motel 6s to avoid hassles and additional costs, but this location should probably be closed until it is fully remodeled. Noisy, dirty, terrible beds, no hot water ( at least on the 3rd floor), a swimming pool full of leaves in June, and sketchy enough that we were actually concerned for our safety.

Nice friendly helpful staff, good price, pet friendly.

I would not let my family stay due to sanitary reasons there was stains all over the beds and ashes everywhere the oroperty manager was nice and undsrstanding we left with no issues and a refund

Very friendly staff and room was clean.

Motel on the outside needs some work. However the rooms are clean. One bad thing was we couldn’t take a shower because the water scolded my hisband

The only thing that was good about the entire day was the guy that helped me into my room and get my reservation checked in after that it was nightmares the door it looked like it had been kicked in with barely any security. The bathroom was full of holes in the walls and ripped out sockets that were no longer in use the heater did not work in the room and it had a very bad smell to it, and whoever lives in the room next to me was burning some sort of incense that just smelled like putrid and basically just stunk all night be returning here and it’s a shame I had to waste my credit on such a dump

The proximity to Carlisle was the most redeeming quality. The pool being closed, the TV not working, the roach in the shower, the beds having springs that stab you all night
