The hotel seemed outdated and is overpriced. Initially, I assumed the price was higher than others in the area because the rooms would be nicer. That was not so. I only stayed one night. I checked out of the Renaissance Hotel the day after my one night stay & checked in to the Holiday Inn Vacation Club property located on Carondelet Street The rooms are small there are no amenities. It’s a very basic hotel. There are nicer rooms with amenities closer to downtown.

Well placed for catching a cruise

Every staff member that I met, from the manager Corey, to the reception staff, the valets, and the housekeepers were extremely friendly, helpful, and personable. I was given a bigger room which offered an immaculate interior design. The hotel was clean, the neighborhood was safe, and close (whether walking distance or by car) to a lot of restaurants and shops that I had on my agenda.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The guy at the front desk was extremely helpful and informative. The food at the hotel was very good and the kids especially loved having beignets.

Staff!!

The room was comfortable, the furnishings were a little worn; however, this did not impact our stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The on-site restaurant was good and convenient. We arrived late in the evening about an hour before the restaurant closed; yet, the staff accommodated us without complaint. We would definitely reserve accommodations here again.
