The Mercantile Hotel New Orleans

Convenient location, walkable area . Having the added bonus of a continental breakfast available was nice.

Rooms are large and clean

The hallways were freezing. The elevator was loud ice machines located on sixth and ninth floor breakfast was subpar.

My room was huge with a separate lounge room with record player and a selection of jazz records. The air conditioning work so well I had to turn it off at night. Very happy with its location close to the convention centre. One issue was the door was hard to close due to a loose hinge. I would stay again.

The place is in a perfect area as we use to pad by it. The rooms are decent but mine had a plastic pickle pouch near the widow behind the curtain! Other than that its was an ideal location with many things to do all around.

Be sure to check the address that comes up if you click copy address via Expedia. It was the wrong address. I wasted $40 on Lyft to a wrong location. No airport shuttle to this hotel. This was a good stay. Breakfast was good and the room was comfortable.

Very nice hotel. Room was clean and you could even smell the cleanliness of the towels. Breakfast was good. Highly recommended.

The Location: Unbeatable. It is incredibly close to fantastic shopping and local nightlife, making it easy to explore without hassle. The Service: The staff here are truly wonderful and helpful. They went out of their way to take care of me, even ordering a pizza for me at midnight! The Perks: Starting the day with their great morning coffee was the perfect touch. If you want amazing service and a perfect spot close to all the action, stay here!

I really enjoyed staying here. The rooms were clean and spacious and the staff were exceedingly helpful! I will stay here again the next time I'm in New Orleans.

I do want to begin by sharing that all staff members that I encountered were very friendly and helpful if I had a questions. The whole hotel felt dated, but not in a nostalgic way. Multiple lights didn't work in my room and everything felt like it could have used a touch up. I was surprised to learn housekeeping wasn't a daily occurrence, but extra towels were available upon request. The continental breakfast had all of the basics. The hotel is in easy walking distance to the convention center which is a pro.

Had a great stay at the Mercantile the staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Appreciated that breakfast was served daily and it had a great central location to the convention center. When I return to New Orleans, I’ll definitely plan to stay here again!
