The Riverfront Hotel New Orleans

The hotel was very nice and the workers were very friendly and professional. They had 2 major events that weekend, a concert by a very popular artist and a college sporting event with one of the biggest named college in the state, and the hotel was severely under-staffed. The amount of time we had to wait for the valet to bring our vehicle, because they only had 1 person working the valet, was ridiculous. Especially since the valet service was something that we, the customers, pay for.

Per our conversation, I am writing to formally document my concerns regarding the condition of the hotel room that my family and I were given during our vacation in New Orleans. Unfortunately, the condition of the room was unacceptable and made what should have been an enjoyable family vacation extremely uncomfortable and stressful. The issues we encountered included: Dirty downstairs toilet Strong urine odor throughout the room Filthy and stained carpet Stains on the doors, walls, and light switches Standing water in the shower No hot water on Friday and Saturday A cockroach in the room I was especially disturbed because I was traveling with my four-year-old granddaughter. I constantly had to stop her from touching surfaces and playing with her toys on the floor because of how dirty and unsanitary the room was. As a parent/grandparent, it was extremely concerning to have to worry about whether my child could become sick simply from being in a hotel room that we had paid to stay in. I was so uncomfortable with the condition of the room that I felt compelled to use an entire can of Lysol and Clorox wipes to clean and disinfect the room myself. Who goes on vacation expecting to have to clean and disinfect a hotel room that they are paying to stay in? I was embarrassed to have my family in that room, and the experience significantly affected our vacation. The lack of hot water for two days was frustrating enough, but the overall cleanliness and the presence.

The room was very nice and clean, breakfast excellent, the staff were friendly.

Everything was okay except how the air in our room didn’t work front desk sent someone up to fix it and it started to cool off and about an hour later it stopped working again. We had the most hottest weekend in that room.

Staff for valet and front desk were super helpful and responsive. Room was fine. Quiet. Some areas like vents etc. could use extra attention. Walking to our room was a hike through many hallways. You will get your steps in.

Great location!

It was a very nice suite. Nothing much I can say.

The place was beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. The parking was valet, so I didn't have to worry about my van. The bed was clean and comfortable and the room was nice. It was less than a half mile from the cruise terminal.
