FYI air conditioning doesn’t get cold

We had a good stay at Hudson Yards Hotel. The location was excellent, with the closest subway around a 10-minute walk away, and we felt very safe in the area. The 24/7 staffed front desk was also reassuring. Our room was clean, spacious and well serviced, with fresh towels and the bed made daily. Having a mini fridge was also handy. There were a couple of minor issues. The air conditioning wasn’t working properly, so the hotel provided a temporary window unit and a fan, although the room remained quite warm. The TV also didn’t work during our stay despite being reported, although this wasn’t a major concern for us as we were out most of the day. Check-in was straightforward, although we weren’t given much information about the hotel or its facilities. Overall, the location, cleanliness, room size and helpful staff made for a good stay, and we would happily consider staying here again.

The staff were professional and helpful. The hotel was clean. The location is fantastic, with easy access to transportation. The neighborhood was filled with great food, shops, and amenities.

Needs some tlc throughout Very nice staff tho

In addition, there was garbage under furniture in the room. The AC unit was so noisy it disturbed by sleep. The windows were covered over with black heavy-duty construction paper. Despite having room for multiple luggage holders, there was instead a flimsy "shelf" made of plastic. I live in NYC. I booked this room because I was taking the bar exam and wanted to save myself the stress of commuting to and from the exam. In a fun twist, this place was so gross and the staff so unhelpful, I ended up more stressed.

Clean room, attentive staff, close to everything

Great area, close to a lot of tourist spots, but far enough to not be chaotic. Staff were really nice and helpful with all my questions along the way. Would stay again. (:

SO DIRTY the front shows a different picture until you get to where the rooms are . Smelled like urine , people partying in the atrium keeping you up, oh and witnessed someone throwing up In the atrium grass.. that was fun. And disgusting.. oh and the staff. Did u mention how rude ?

Very clean room. Helpful staff. Was able to store my bags after check in. Working air conditioning that kept the room cool and was easily adjustable.

If you are looking for a hotel that isn't fancy but is well-located—putting you just a 13-minute walk from the Vessel or Times Square—then this is the place for you. Just keep in mind that the Wi-Fi signal doesn't reach every room; if you’re as "lucky" as I was, you won’t have a connection on your phone or computer, and you certainly won't be able to watch TV in your room. The front desk won't tell you this upfront, though; they might claim the internet is down for the day or promise to send maintenance—only for no one to show up. Or, if you’re truly lucky like me, you might finally—after asking about the TV signal for three days—run into a helpful clerk who asks for your room number and then reveals the truth: that the room has absolutely no Wi-Fi access. Also, if you get a room facing the street, street noise might wake you up.

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. AC worked really well. Toiletries and amenities aren't the fanciest; plan to bring your own. TV didn't work but I had read other reviews and brought my own Firestick and that worked just fine for me on their WiFi. Location is great - within blocks of anything you need or where you want to go.

I would come back. It was a great location and everything was clean

We only stayed because it was late and we had nowhere else to go. We checked out the next morning. The experience got even worse when I realized I’d left my Crocs in the room. I returned within hours, but the front desk employee, Davily, refused to do anything except repeat that housekeeping “didn’t find anything.” She refused to contact housekeeping again or make any real effort to help. When I suggested knocking myself, she called security and threatened to have me escorted out. The security guard was hostile, dismissed my concerns, and argued with me instead of helping. The entire interaction made us feel unsafe and intimidated, and I had to file an NYPD lost property report because the hotel refused to conduct a meaningful investigation. The responding officer told us they are called to this hotel frequently, which only reinforced our concerns. Filthy rooms, terrible customer service, an unsafe atmosphere, and staff unwilling to help. Save yourself the headache and book somewhere else.

Dirty. Small. Hot. Could hear the people next door all night. Windows are taped shut. Sheets had stains and hairs from other people.
