Truss Hotel Times Square

The location and the price were, and are, distinct advantages. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. The rooms, however, while clean, were quite shabby. I was only there for one night so it wasn't too much of an issue, but the furnishings were really beat-up and substandard. My room had a window that opened to a large interior room (I have no idea what it was; it did not appear to be set up; just a lot of stuff strewn about) so I had no exterior light whatsoever. That was really disappointing and a little uncomfortable; I feel that I should have been warned that this would be the case and possibly offered a different room. I don't regret my stay, but I daresay I would not stay there again.

The hotel was functional. The bed was clean, comfortable, and no bugs. Great location for Times Square. It was quiet. There was only one small window not facing the street. The fridge kept things cold, and there was a microwave. I liked that the floor was wooden, not carpet. There was a cash-only luggage storage option. The room wasn’t ready after check-in time, but they were able to give us a different room relatively quickly. They said they upgraded us to a suite, but it didn’t feel any different from the one king room we were supposed to get. The shower pressure was extreme and very uncomfortable. We felt like the tiles in the shower stall were suspect, so we ended up getting flip flops for it. The shower stall also was open and had no curtain/closure, so water would get on the bathroom floor. The bathroom door would swing into the already small bathroom.

Bed was like a baby bed. Tub was different very high sides if you are short you will need a step stool. No dining onsite.

The truss hotel is very well located, not too busy and the rooms are nice.

Staff very Nice and professional!

This hotel is very nice and in a great location. But I found it strange that the TV had no guide, the elevator was extremely dark, the room had no art work on the walls nor was there any in the corridors, and the strangest thing of all was the partition in the shower was on the left side in front of the shower valve so you have to climb into it to turn it on, you cannot turn the shower on by leaning into it. Still I would gladly, and probably will stay there again.

Receptionist was cold, made a human mistake not a big deal but felt hesitant in saying sorry. Felt irritated and it showed. By no means was she rude. Simple things like this left a feeling making it impossible to give five stars. Will still recommend it.

The hotel is in a good location for walking to restaurants and attractions. We were given an upgrade and were able to check in early. The only negative was a tub that was very high and difficult to get into and a lack of hot water at times.

Check in was horrible. I knew my friend would arrive first so I put her name down thinking since I'm making reservation, my name will automatically appear. Lady did not allow after checking and verifying all information. Saying she doesn't get third party reservations to show which guest booked it. I researched this and doesn't appear accurate but giving her benefit of the doubt why even ask me all the questions in first place. Plus my friend mentioned this was going to happen before leaving the room and they just said ok. Room beds and everything was ok and clean but walls were pretty banged up and can use an upgrade. Check out was very pleasant and they kept our luggages while we continued touring before our flight for $2 per baggage. Very central location and close to Subway.

Air conditioning works great! Great location! Very nice staff! The tub is a bit hard to get in and out of for an older person, I didn’t know before booking and should have requested an accessible room for my elderly Mom.
