DoubleTree by Hilton New York Times Square West

Cafe staff was extremely rude to my autistic teenager who simply asked for a plastic fork. It took a lot for him to go ask by himself, and he felt like he did something wrong. He didn’t and I don’t appreciate the attitude that he got.

The hallways leading to the elevators were also incredibly hot and uncomfortable. Overall, we were pretty disappointed with our stay and wouldn’t recommend staying here if you’re visiting the area.

The air broke-no one would answer at the front desk-they are under staffed-wait for an elevator can take 20 minutes. Not a location I would recommend! Lobby is tiny and always packed.

Although the staff is friendly & attentive it felt overwhelming walking into a lobby that was packed w/ people with a line to check in. Followed by a staff member & manager trying to sell me deals for a future stay while I was waiting. The property itself is decent but shows a lot of wear on the floors, wall paper in the rooms, ect & the drain in the bathroom sink smelled terrible. It needs to be cleaned or something. We also kept on hearing all kinds of noises coming from the connecting rooms & bathrooms. The stay was okay overall but I would not go back to this location. I have stayed at other Hilton locations in the area that are A+++

When I arrived to the hotel to do the check in they said they don’t have any rooms available and I had to get a more expensive rate because of the last minute reservation. Never stayed in this hotel. It was also very dirty.

Global outage for all Hilton hotels made this the most painful experience in my decades on the planet traveling

Also we were given water at no cost and cookies every single day. When the hotel got busy waiting for a elevator took some time, but once I figured this out, I just planned differently i.e. decided to leave earlier etc. These things are to be expected when the hotel is filled to capacity.

Only complaint is the long elevator waits, can not use the elevator without waiting atleast 5 minutes to get on, then a few more minutes as you almost always make multiple stops, a hotel with that many rooms needs more than 2 elevators. otherwise the room was as expected and the staff were fantastic.

The air conditioner was not cooling the room despite the many attempts by the staff to effect repairs. Also water leaked unto the toilet flour whenever we took a shower. After three (3) days of complaining they finally gave us another room which was much better. They also promised to reimburse us, through Expedia, one night’s rental. Can you advise if this was done and if so, when would we be credited? Thanks!

Room was clean great location. Very walkable

Great location wonderful staff but I had to ask everyday for them to leave a DnD sign so we wouldn’t get housekeeping to clean every time the reassured us they’d get one but everyday they cleaned our room so annoying

Ice machines were constantly under maintenance & elevators are hard to get on

The room was nice overall, but the Ive Machine were out of order on numerous floors…. And the sinks didn’t drain efficiently.. but the service was good..

This hotel and the room we got were horrible. It’s run down. Barely any bathroom amenities. Carpet was ripped up. And staff were overwhelmed. Horrible experience. We want our money back.

This is one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at ever. Extremely overcrowded, the air conditioners didn’t work, the showers leaked water onto the floors in any room, elevators are always jampacked, the lines to check in are long and slow, the rooms are tiny, and the staff is extremely overworked.. the only advantage to stay in here is that it is close to Times Square

The lobby was chaotic during check-in and we waited for over 30 minutes each time we needed to use the elevators. Rooms are good for a single traveler and the hotel was decent.

Excellent location. Staff are very helpful and friendly.
