We switched rooms twice due to air conditioning issues, which I later learned was a common issues with guess this week. The air conditioning vents throughout the room (including bathroom) were extremely dusty. I wiped the dust from the nightstand and it was covered again in dust within 2 hours later. Saleem, hotel bar/restaurant staff member was rude. I asked him for plastic utensils and I was told they were out and the delivery was coming the next day. I found that hard to believe considering the hotel offers room service. I told the gentlemen at the front desk my issue and he apologized for the inconvenience and walked over to the restaurant and returned with 2 handfuls of plastic utensils. Overall this was a disappointing experience, well below the standard I am use to with the Hilton brand.

Air conditioning was not working, room temperature was 78+ throughout our stay. The front desk said they were sending someone to fix it and never did. Not all elevators were working so the wait for an elevator was lengthy.

I stood in line 20 minutes to go back up to my restaurant room. The staff were very friendly and polite. My room clean and comfortable.

The staff at this hotel is A+. Shout out to Daniel at the front desk who was AMAZING! I had a problem with the tv and 3 minutes later someone was at the door to fix it. Great location Definitely will go back next year 💕

First night room had no AC and it couldn’t be fixed nor could we get another room until the next day so they brought fans and “discounted” the night. Next day new room with working AC as loud as a concrete truck and had a light with a sensor that could NOT be turned off. And just moving to your side in bed would wake up the whole room with the blinding light, had to put towels (plural!) over it. Rooms are so tiny too, good luck fitting into any room meant for more than 1 or 2 because there’s absolutely no room for anyone else. For reference they had a roller chair which is a joke because the room was so tight there was no where the chair even fit besides just tucked under the table. Hilton Times square is just little more but a million times better and right on times square, but Doubletree will not get a visit from me again.

    Truble on air conditionar.

It was nice and silent room. HVAC and bedding, looks like as it was hot in the room even after letting the receptionist know about the issue and even messaging on the app. But felt like no one took care of it, or offered a room change despite being a Hilton Honor gold member.

Good location. Staff were amazing at check in! Really welcoming. Rooms on smaller side. This is generally the case I find in NY.

Great location, I got a great room with a nice view on the 28th floor, even though I just booked the cheapest room category, you get complimentary water and cookies at the check in Not big issues really but some parts could use renovation, at peak times it took quite long to check in or get assistance from a front desk employee, it’s a bit pricey for what you get but I also came in high season

The staff are very nice and helpful, the room though small was clean and fine, and the location is a short walk to the Javitz Center for my conference. And there is a surprisingly cool roof top bar with a view! Hilton should be embarrassed by the shabbiness of the lobby and entrance. It is dirty and worn and ugly. Frankly unacceptable. 1/2 of the elevators were not working and so people were stacked in the tiny lobby waiting for elevators. The building needs a major renovation.

Stay was horrible I booked saw great reviews the rooms do not look like the picture online a lot Smaller we checked in tv not working air conditioner is making a very loud banging noise complaint about was told there are no more rooms available I said fine I’ll just checkout lady at the desk says if we stay they will refund half our money it’s late wife is in night clothes we agree got no sleep because of the noise paid for valet parking was told streets are blocked off we have to go get our own car but they will send someone to help with bags we ask no one is available hotel say it’s only two blocks up we walked in pain I just had back surgery in march still recovering we go up three blocks to find out they gave us the wrong direction had to talk to three different staff members to get right address I had to sit on dirty street because I just couldn’t stand any more with my back as it was finally called an uber who drove us around party because streets are blocked for soccer event spent two days in the hospital and now still fighting over my refund

Great staff and management. Property needs to be updated.

One of the worst experience of my life in a hotel. The hotel is nasty. The ac is very very noisy. The room are tight. The cleaning lady put a do not disturb sign on the door so she does not clean my room. Saying that i was the one who put it. One of the worst experience of my life in a hotel.

Great location, very little else. Dirty, wall paper peeling off the wall, loud air conditioning unit, incredibly expensive.

Great location, really friendly and helpful staff Aircon didn’t work well in our room. Room was stuffy and made it hard to sleep. No water provided in the room. Room was next to the lift so very noisy all through the night with the lift bell and loud talking.

The night and day staff were grumpy. The male front desk staff on the night shift appeared as if he was angry and very dissatisfied with his job. He did not smile at any point of imy nteraction with him. He did not communicate well at all. The female front desk staff on the day shift was almost the same. The property appeared old and in need of repair and upliftment. The carpet was old and threadbare on the 22nd floor, while the carpet in the lifts were DIRTY and stained. The panel in the lift was broken and had exposed wires.. The tiles on the floor at front desk were old and worn and uneven.. There were drug users and homeless people right infront of the entrance of the hotel.. The breakfast offered was very very distasteful. Scanty and overpriced. The advertisement on the site was misleading and ambiguous.. If anyone wants to contest this rating or contact me for clarification they are FREE and most welcome to email me at the following. brob700@gmail.com For a hotel or franchise carrying the HILTON name/brand fhis was a very very disappointing experience.
