Hampton Inn Manhattan/Times Square South

Very good location

Great location-The rooms are very small-but very clean and has everything you need for a quick stay-I would definitely recommend this for traveling on a quick trip.

I liked the hot waffle station and the guy who made them was super nice. Gold star for him. What I didn't like is the brown water that I experienced 1 day. The lobby agent said it was cause by the city working on pipes. They have no control. While that may be true, communication and offer bottle to guests would have been helpful through this inconvenience. Also the elevator was out intermittently through the stay. Overall the stay was disappointing and not sure I'd book again.

I have stayed here a few times. The staff are friendly. I appreciate that they don’t charge resort fees. The breakfast staff and selections are top notch excellent. Cesar, who is in charge of the breakfast does a fantastic job paying attention to detail. Everything tastes delicious and it’s a nice selection. The staff, the location and the breakfast is why I keep coming back to this particular hotel. Far enough away from Times Square, but close enough that you’re not getting all the heavy traffic. Local places to eat. Highly recommend!

Room was clean and adequate. The only complaint is that there are only two elevators for the many floors. Wait time was long! Breakfast was excellent; friendly and helpful staff every day! Our room was ready earlier than expected and the staff at the front desk was pleasant.

The hotel is in a bad state. The rooms have a weird smell. AC works fine and breakfast is fine. The elevator however is a big problem. It takes approximately 20-30 minutes to get the elevator reach your floor and get down. Do not book your cab ride from your room thinking you will make it. I lost money on a cab ride that I could not make it. Trust me if the elevator issue is not resolved, you will not make it down on time. And if you are n a higher floor, Good luck. Hampton Inn are good hotel chain. Just had bad experience here. Will probably book elsewhere next time I am in the City.

This was a decent room for the price. The location was great for our needs, close to Times Square and the subway! The room was small but fine for two of us. The shower was tiny and not enjoyable but worked fine. The continental breakfast was great, just busy! We got out food and went to our room in the mornings.

Also, the staff in the evening gave me information regarding storing a bag for a friend that the morning staff did not honour causing a lot of annoyance and frustration. It is New York- staff doesn't really care about the customer service or experience. Take it or leave it. I know I wont be staying here again.

We stayed for an overnight visit into the city and our stay was wonderful as usual. I have stayed here before and both times were good experiences.

Had problems with the tv batteries dead toilet plugged very squishy room 1 day room wasn't cleaned needs a definite update to it wasn't like the modern look of the pics on line had no hot water one morning but the weather didn't help much with the vacation I also got locked in the basement bathroom upstairs door had to call my husband to come he was waiting outside for me after banging for 5 min

There are only two small elevators and about 40 floors so we spent on average 10 minutes each time we came or left waiting for an elevator. In the morning and around check in that number doubled. We were on the 20th floor so we just took the stairs several times. In the morning the elevator with be full with one housekeeper and their cart. The shower in our room the floor was so high at the drain there was a bump and the water could not drain it just pooled on the ends. I would not recommend. I will be finding somewhere else to stay next time I am in town.

Great location, close to time square. Room and bathroom were clean and perfect for what we needed for our stay in New York. Continental breakfast was nice to start our mornings. Nice place to stay, just a bit outdated and the elevator didn’t work properly for the duration of our stay. Luckily we were only on the 7th floor. Staff was very friendly and helpful!

Great location for Javits Center ant Times Square, friendly staff. Elevators were broken 2 days but I was on the 4th floor so got my steps in.

The stay was ok. My luggage was left behind at the airport from where I departed. I checked into my room. In the mean time I ordered a dental kits but they were all out of it and said they will not get any in until after the long weekend. Should they not be stocked up for a hotel that size, knowing its the long weekend? The front desk did not communicate with me when my luggage arrived really late in order for me to get ready for an event on my first evening stay there. I had to actually find it sitting behind their counter when I came to retrieve my luggage. The room was cozy and clean for the most part. Breakfast was a buffet style and I loved it.
