Candlewood Suites New York City-Times Square by IHG

Love the kitchen. A plus in New York city. Dislike the carpet at the reception area. Very dirty..I couldn't seat arround. Comfy beds.

Clean room, comfortable bed. Great location.

The hotel was okay. The location was good for walking to Times Square and Broadway. Very close to the subway. No frills. Just a comfortable bed. City view room waste of money. Nothing to see.

The only good thing was it had washing machines and tumble dryers in the cellar. It also had a great location.

Great, spacious room for the price. Great location as well - everything within walking distance. Only issue is the carpet is old, smells and needs to be replaced.

As far as the hotel property is concerned, I wouldn’t stay there again. I booked the room because of the kitchenette. When we went to heat up our leftovers, It did not work. I was sent to an unoccupied room in the lower level to use the microwave in there. Our bathroom did not shut completely. I went with a friend and obviously we could not have complete privacy when using the restroom. When my friend went to cut her leftovers , the large steak knife was loose at the hinge and she couldn’t use that either. The bed was a little smaller that I anticipated for 2 people. One more thing, at first, the safe wouldn’t open. A maintenance man swiftly fixed it. It worked for the first few days and then it would not accept the code I had been using all along. Once again I had to contact the desk for maintenance. Unfortunately it was later in the evening and I had to wait til morning. My iPad was in there so I could not use it as I had planned until the next day. I had asked to move our room and the fellow at the front desk said he could not until the next morning, which we did. The microwave worked, the bathroom door shut and the safe worked. We only ended up in that room for one night. I won’t be going back there again. I do thank the folks who worked there as they were very pleasant.

The front desk staff are amazing! Laura, Tobi, and Paul, were kind, courteous, helpful, accommodating and super friendly, all while being very professional. They are absolute gems and are assets to this establishment. I will definitely make Candlewood Suites Times Square my place to stay when I’m back in NYC. Thank you all for a wonderful experience!!!

Room was a good size and was as per photos on website. Bed was comfortable. Shower was not the best but still ok. The complimentary laundry was also a great bonus. Hotel staff were polite and helpful and check in and out was easy, but unfortunately there was one staff member who found a question an inconvenience to her. Also liked the free cookies but we had to be quick to get some. We would stay here again when visiting NY.

The hotel was terrible customer service, they didn’t have no channels to watch on the TV. There was a knocking sound all night couldn’t get no sleep. I do not recommend this hotel.

Very great place to stay right off Times Square. Very close to the subway entrances, easy to get around. Rooms are spacious for a New York hotel. Would stay again.
