The hotel's concierge chatbot Charlotte is a complete disaster. It approaches guests via SMS (very aggressive), leaving the impression this is a real person. I had a very bad experience trying to agree a late checkout with what I thought was a real person via SMS. I then fortunately was able to speak to a member of staff at the reception who clarified the confusion/misunderstanding. I was still charged USD 250 at checkout for something I never agreed to. Again, real humans at the reception removed the charge from my bill. My strong recommendation to Lotte - do not use AI in this kind of way!

The Lotte New York Palace is a beautiful hotel, and overall we really enjoyed the property. However, the beds were surprisingly squeaky and uncomfortable. Considering the price and caliber of the hotel, I expected a much higher-quality mattress and a more comfortable night’s sleep. Upgrading the mattresses would make a significant difference in the overall guest experience.

Hotel was in bad condition. Carpets are old and sticky. Bathroom needs to be remodeled.if you are used to 5 star hotels this is not that.

The location is great and the staff were helpful. The bed was comfortable and there were some cool historical aspects. There was a nice outdoor patio but we did not get a chance to use it. It was not worth the price. The lampshade was broken and the makeup mirror did not work. the view was of a metal wall and it just looked dated. I had told the concierge it was our anniversary weekend and they never acknowledged that.

Terrible standards for what used to be nice hotel before Lotte. Now it’s just a motel with a lobby and a view at $750 a night or whatever!
