My daughter and I needed 2 beds during our stay. The website photos looked great. First night we were creeped out by our “bad dorm room” vibe and the next morning asked to be moved to a different room or cancel our reservation. They were EXTREMELY HELPFUL. Can’t say enough about the staff. We were moved to the 10th floor from the 5th (our first room looked out directly into the faces of the construction workers across the street and it was LOUD - even for NYC). The new room was quiet and lovely and exactly like the cheerful room on the website. Would absolutely stay here again.

I was (still am) recovering from surgery and stayed at The Sonesta. The front desk guys and the maids were so kind, helpful and friendly! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to NYC for surgery.

The room was clean and very nice, more than what I expected.

The check in staff was warm and welcoming. They let us know to use our credits before midnight for snacks and drinks, which we otherwise would have let expire. The room was massive, well appointed, and comfortable. We were only here for one night since I was coming down for surgery, but would definitely stay again. There was construction noise across the street, which made sleeping difficult, at times. Hopefully that’s temporary. Overall, great spot!

Nice place in a good location, close to Central Park and easy access to trains.

Our stay was disappointing. Musty smell, hot, the hotel is outdated and the rooms could use renovations, the sofa bed is cheap and very uncomfortable. They charge $42 a day for hotel facilities consisting of a room with chairs, water and a coffee machine, a gym which is just a small room with 2 treadmills. We did like the location and its proximity to Central Park and restaurants. Krys from the front desk was very nice and polite.

Good stay for UES for family of 5 if you don’t mind using public transport. It was clean and staff was friendly.

Loud lobby. Dirty towel on the floor when I checked in. Run down. Nice staff.

I would have preferred more space to place toiletries in the smaller bathroom. The smaller bathroom sink and tub did not drain properly. This was brought to the attention of the staff at the time of check out. Lastly, the TV offerings were not of interest and quite lacking. There was no ability to access my Netflix account or HBO.

Comfortable bed, great location, good coffee service No free water, water not stocked, long wait for a blanket/pillow, not enough staff, signed up for loyalty club and status matching and received nothing. Staff was inexperienced, yet accommodations nice.

The staff were great. The hallways to the rooms were old, had an odor and desperately needs an update . The room itself was large but very dated, I’m unsure where the pictures on the website were taken but our room for sure was not used. We had a garden view which was quiet. There are plenty of restaurants around the hotel. I would not stay here again.
