The Lex provided what I needed for my short stay in New York. My room was relatively small but it was good value for the price. Convenient location. I’d stay there again.
-
Base. No amenities. Sleep if you can, super noisy
-
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and simple. No bells or whistles. But that is okay, because it gets the job done and a good location. I would stay there again
-
Way overpriced for the lack of amenities.
-
Convenient and comfortable for a quick weekend.
-
Great location, friendly staff and clean. Definitely value for money.

The rooftop terrace was nice and quiet. I tried to cancel 10m after booking and wasn't allowed to... Breakfast wasn't even worth putting out.

We stayed in a two-queen-bed room and it was very large, especially for NYC. Nice location; lots of mini marts and coffee shops nearby. No fridge; breakfast was not extensive but still plenty of options. AC worked great and was refreshing to get out of the summer heat. Rooftop was lovely with lots of seating and nice views. Staff was just super. Friendly, helpful.

The included breakfast was quite disappointing, consisting mainly of cereal and coffee. Given the overall experience, I'd suggest saving your money and booking a better option if possible. Aside from its convenient location, there wasn't much else about the property that met expectations.

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and large queen room.
-
Room was clean, and nicely decorated. The only drawback, was there was no ice machine.
-
The room was clean and the staff were super helpful with everything!

Place was clean. Room was tiny...and that was after an upgrade from a basement room to an upper level room. The breakfast was ok...bare minimum stuff. When we arrived we were informed the city was scheduled to shut off the water the next day for an hour sometime in the afternoon. Ok, we can tolerate that, but what we hadn't counted on was the several hours after when the water ran an ugly brown. Couldn't shower, brush teeth, etc. etc. We weren't about to take a chance on NYC mucky water. When I let it be known that we had a problem, was told it was out of the hotel's control. True, but when I booked the room, it was with the expectation that there'd be WATER! The right thing to do would have been to discount the room rate (substantially, in my view) and it should have been automatic. Didn't happen...so an OK rating is generous.

Very friendly and helpful front desk Open windows means the smell of fried chicken from the Popeyes below will permeate the room indefinitely
-
Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Clean room as well. Would stay again.

Such a great place to stay, with a lot right nearby. So close to...bagels, coffee, sushi &.. if it's your thing two different types of chicken (Wingstop & Popeye's), also highly recommend Sunflower Gramercy for breakfast! Not too far to walk to bus or subway. Hotel & room very clean. Bed comfy. Staff is wonderful, friendly & helpful. There is a lovely rooftop deck, which was so nice to just relax for a while!

The hotel doesn’t make the bed or change sheet unless you call before 12 pm . Why do we have to tell you to do it . A do not disturb sign should be enough if we don’t want them to come do the room. No refrigerator and you have to call to get ice every time . And the bucket is like a kids beach bucket tiny. I travel a lot into manhattan and for the price this place was horrible.

Very nice staff, a bit of an older hotel though. Things are a bit worn down, and the bathtub and carpet weren't the cleanest (not that they're necessarily dirty, but just old). But given the price, not too bad. Breakfast was kinda cheap too, just milk, cereal, and some cheap pastries, but again, within this price range, it's not bad.

Check in was a breeze and room was upgraded, Great location at a fair price.
-
Nice continental breakfast, good location.
