The hotel location is amazing for the city. It's close to all the major spots in midtown like Penn Station, Empire State Building, and all the hot restaurants.

The Lex NYC front desk and staff were extremely helpful with providing a beautiful stay.

Chambre propre, endroit silencieux et lit confortable. Le déjeuner fait pitié mais pour un motel pas trop cher direct au centre-ville c’est parfait.
-
Affordable, but you get what you pay for. We were in a lower level garden room that had hard to find plugs for charging, a not so comfortable bed, a low toilet where your balls dangle into the water, and a weird layout.
-
Fine hotel. Simple, clean, effective. Low price, great location. Not fancy, no amenities.
-
Very helpful and friendly staff!
-
Great NY hotel when you need a place to sleep in a great location. Low frills but high in great staff service. Roof top was a fun perk. Recommend a hydration station/ice machine.
-
It’s a nice little Hotel with complimentary water and in a decent location to walk around the city. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The air conditioner worked and it was quiet.
-
Great little hotel. Clean and nice staff. Loved the rooftop deck.
-
Their breakfast was not breakfast. It was coffee and pastry, that other hotels serve 24/7.
-
Had a great stay here.
-
Close to metro. Bodegas nearby for snack and drink needs. Nice, quiet room. Comfortable and clean.
-
The location is safe and close to transit and many amenities in a great neighborhood.
-
Basement lower level room didn’t feel safe if there were a fire and the musty smell was distracting
-
Didn’t try the breakfast this round. Will be back.
-
Great location. Simple breakfast bar is fine. Rooftop is great for fresh air.

The location of the hotel is the only thing that is worth the money. The breakfast items were very limited. The room doesn't even have a coffee maker, let alone a fridge or microwave. The room is small.

I had a bad check in experience this time. The desk clerk said that I had a reservation for wheelchair access and would have to stay in a basement room. I said I did not ask for a wheelchair access room but went to look at the room and it was cold, damp and dark with no window and had a big cracked bathroom sink. I said I am not staying in a room like that and I found my receipt and showed them that it was for a regular room with queen bed not a wheelchair access room. They then got me a regular room upstairs like I had had in the past then my stay was nice after that.

Breakfast was minimal and served for only two hours. But everything was great. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The room was on the first floor, but adjacent to a wall that offered privacy. There’s a 24-hr deli next door that sells a variety of foods and beers but at a steep markup. I definitely plan to stay at Lex again.
