The Marmara Park Avenue

Very small bar and public area. The rooms were ok but no comfortable chairs to sit. Only like a kitchen table and dining type chairs. It Had a kitchenette type built in with plates and cups and even silverware but we were not planning on having a dinner party !?…. AND two very disappointing things. (1) the bathroom was too small and no vanity to use to get ready—you needed to put your toiletries on the closed toilet lid due to no vanity; just a sink. Also, the only full length mirror was on the INSIDE of the bathroom door, so you had to be IN the bathroom and close the door to check your fit. Basically only one person could get ready at a time. And (2) the rooftop restaurant and bar were CLOSED for remodeling!!! And we were not made aware of that when we booked. No good.

The location in midtown was very good for exploring New York. The swimming pool was too cold. We loved using the steam room but it’s a shame there is no hot tub or spa-like services available.

well situated by Park Avenue with a subway just 20 meters away and a bunch of food stores in both corners of the street. The temporary closure of the restaurant meaning that one should find a place to eat outside on a daily basis. However, I understand that the temporary closure will bring something new and more appropriate.

Great location. Close to transport. Excellent rooms. Great indoor swimming pool. We really enjoyed our stay.

Spacious room with kitchenette and small balcony. Lots of natural light. Beautiful pool and sauna. No room service but bar was nice.

The pool and Turkish bath are a real treat. This was a nice staycation for myself.

The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the private balcony was fantastic. The kitchenette had everything we needed. The room itself looked worn. The bathroom was tiny and had dim lighting with the only mirror in the room for hair and makeup. The shower head was just a normal handheld, not very lux.

Great area of the city, within walking distance of both the Empire State Building and Madison Square Garden. The hotel was surprisingly easy to find and clean and all of the staff members that we encountered were very helpful -- the great view of the Chrysler Building from our window was a nice added touch too.

Unfortunately, our room also did not feel thoroughly cleaned, and the hotel overall could really use a deep cleaning. Between the cleanliness and the condition of the property, I would not recommend staying here.

Lovely boutique hotel and room. Would return to New York and to this hotel in the future. Nothing in particular. The corridors were dark but this seems to be the hotel ambience
