Awesome stay - our go to for travel to nyc

Location and friendly Nothing it was great!

I traveled to NYC solo for Climate Week. HGU was in the perfect location where I could get to several venues on foot within 20 minutes, or an equally fast subway trip anywhere else. Loved the room, the bed, the cozy blanket, and the bathroom which was clean and updated and had plenty of space for my toiletries. A real full-size mirror, plenty of hanging space, and a fully functional iron were so welcomed. The cherry on top was the coffee shop in the lobby—solid espresso and pastries, and a very charming lounge area with lots of art and photography. The whole place has a boutique vibe which is very much its own. It was exactly the right fit and I will definitely Climate Week here again. Would have enjoyed a late night rooftop hang but it closes at 9pm, and I wasn't home from events soon enough to make use of it. A later option would have been nice as it is a charming space.

Good

Location is the only positive Absence of any power socket in the room to charge your electronic devices. Had to unplug the lamps to use the power sockets. No desk or chair in the room. No kettle or tea or coffee

again.

Fantastic hotel for a business trip. The hotel has been updated so it feels modern but with character, it's very clean, and the staff was helpful. Appreciated the sound machine in the room and bottles of water. Small fridge kept drinks cold but not cold enough to store perishables. Bathroom was very clean and bright. I will 100% stay here again.

Exceptional

Cozy boutique hotel located in the center of flatiron near several bars and restaurants with a lounge and a cafe inside the lobby as well as a mini bar inside the room. The bed was also very comfortable and very clean and tidy. Pre-war style building needs some renovating and more modern furniture. The room was also super small could barely open my suitcase and there was no natural lighting just a small window with a view of a wall.

The hotel itself was nice and clean and offered multiple amenities. Jamel was the real hero as he ensured our car was waiting to take us to the airport and walked us there himself in the rain. Isaiah was also very helpful and polite with the check in process.

Room significantly smaller than advertised. Not worth the price at all

We really enjoyed our stay here. Made our MSG concert experience awesome since it was so close. Also, the room was clean and nice and the hotel is pretty. Will stay again when we're in that part of town !

The hotel is in a great location. The staff are very polite. The hotel is clean and well-organized; the pillows are comfortable, and there’s a hair dryer, iron, towels, etc. I loved it—I highly recommend it!

It was clean, room was a decent size

The property is clean and maintained well.

Bed was incredibly comfortable. Staff were friendly. Free Prosecco between 4 and 7pm. Ability to use the gym next door for free was very welcome. Hotel was impeccably clean, very tasteful and grand decor. Right next to 33st Subway Station. Genuinely nothing not to like - would (and will) stay again. I genuinely do not understand the negative reviews. The only negatives is the size of the room. It's very tight and compact. But, given it's NYC you kinda have to expect that.
