The cost does not live up to the awkwardness of the room. I booked the Premier Nomad Suite with Terrace. Odd placement of the television in the bedroom, no view, overall the best part was the bathroom, mattress was comfortable and location is prime. They will nickle and dime you for early check in or late check out and ranges between 75-100 per hour. Will not be returning.

When I arrived to the hotel my room was not ready. I didn’t understand why wasn’t it ready because I arrive around 5pm and check in is at 3pm. The front desk was nice enough to give us a complementary drinks at the bar for waiting. I also ask for a charcuterie board for a request upon my arrival and did not receive that. Overall really nice location for where I needed to be New York.

All the staff members were helpful, professional, and courteous. The room had many amenities (stocked frig, safe, iron/board, hair dryer) and was clean and attractive with natural light and a nice view of Madison Ave. It was also quiet. Entry to the room was cramped and dark, but once in, it was spacious (for NYC) even with a king bed. The common areas were also clean. The gym had limited basic equipment and was easy to access. Easy walk to the 33rd St subway and Moynihan Train Hall.

Well maintained property in a convenient location with helpful staff.

This hotel did not honor my Expedia reservation. The staff gave me the run around for 3 hours-Blake, Omar and a bald black man. They did care about a solo woman being stranded with no room. I would avoid this hotel at all cost. I got a better hotel around the corner that exceeded by expectations. So in the end it worked better for me . This hotel is not reliable! I said the word Expedia and they started scrabbling. I have used Expedia for over a decade with no issue until I booked this hotel . Please just move on to the next.

I have stayed at the AKA Nomad now five times. I love the location as its super convenient for me to access the Park and Broadway or SOHO and downtown from Nomad. This last visit, however was a noticeably underwhelming experience for my travel companions and I. The air conditioning rattled loudly all night in one room keeping them awake, the television didn't work in the other room and was not fixed. When my companions switched rooms, the room was not cleaned until 10pm and they spent an entire day without a space but were charged for the full day. When they checked out and wanted to discuss with management, the team was too busy to help them and said would follow up with an email. Which is just such an unpersonable touch. You would hope that they would value a repeat customer and give them a few minutes to hear their complaints so hopefully they can improve their service going forward. The hotel is not 5 stars by any means and we do not have that expectation, however we do expect clean rooms, kind service, and timely resolutions when issues are identified. Maybe it was world cup fatigue, but I did not enjoy the experience as well as I have previously and will likely seek new accomidations options next time.

This level of cleanliness is unacceptable and does not meet the standards I expected. I would appreciate this being addressed immediately, either by having the room thoroughly cleaned or by being moved to a properly cleaned room.

Loved it

So there was a super off putting smell either in the hall outside the room or in the room itself. It was difficult to pinpoint. We were on the floor with others and spent little time in the room so we didn't report it. The room was sufficient. Tiny bathroom and the room is very dark. For the money I would suggest staying elsewhere.

Location. Very clean. Nice relaxing foyer. Lovely terrace. The bedrooms are small

This hotel is nice but a bit dated and needs renovations. For example the carpet was dirty and needs to be replaced. The rooms smelled a bit musty. And the elevators are very slow and small. But location is convenient and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would give it a solid 3.5 stars.

The hotel is very worn down. Our bed was broken and kept making a cracking noise every time we sat on it. The carpet was filthy and the hallways had an unpleasant odor.
-
I liked the staff and lobby is nice. I didn’t like the hallways how dark it is and the carpet was kinda dirty… also i dont like the lights that turn off by themselves in the room, i had to keep pressing them to turn on while im in the bathroom… the bed could be more comfortable and the pillows… the room is kind of dark… for the price paid per night i think it could be better accommodation
