I stayed for 5 nights, and the location is really the biggest plus of the hotel. Never had to wait for the shared bathroom, and even though they're outdated, it was always clean The room was smaller than anticipated, it could be so much better with a mirror and a few shelves. Avoid if you're a light sleeper though, the quality of your stay will entirely depends on your neighbours. You litterally hear everything, doors opening/closing, snoring, talking.

Passable

The location is in the heart of chinatown so it really is great for anyone wanting to explore New York. The rooms are exactly as listed and mentioned by all the other reviewers, really small. But we came with this expectation in mind so there were no surprises. Positive surprise on the other hand was the fact that there are four bathrooms for the whole floor, which was very convenient because one was always free. Extra pillows were provided when asked for. There was no elevator to take our large bags up to the third floor and staff members didn't really help very much with that either so just keep that in mind. Lock on the rooms was open even when you close the door so you have to make sure to lock it with the key or else it's open.

I liked that we had our own bathroom The sheets were a little yellow, there was someone’s shoes left behind. It made it seem like the room was not cleaned thoroughly when we arrived.

Superb

Great location, cleaned regularly. The air conditioning was a bit too cold.

The owner (or who I believe is the owner) was very kind and provided extra support. The bed was okay considering the price point. If you are okay with a small space and don’t need a whole lot of bathroom space either this place is okay. They store luggage for free. They were near a good amount of food places. The rooms were small and the bathrooms were consistently wet and kind of dirty. There were 2 occurrences ( we stayed 2 nights) in which staff entered our room so the out knocking. Not much space.

It was exactly as described. There's no lift, only stairs. The bathroom is shared, but cleaned often. Rooms are small, but clean. You can hear noise from the hallway and (less so) from other rooms, but other guests were mostly considerate. There was no mirror in the room. I would have preferred shelving or a luggage rack to a desk. It's not in control of the hotel, but location-wise, navigating Canal Street is a pain.

It's cheap and basic but it's clean so that's fine.

Location is great, easy to reach from the airport and very good starting point to explore Manhattan. N/A

Good location, ifa bit rough after dark..Ben was very nice at the desk. All staff were attentive. The option to leave bags after checkout is excellent. Very bright corridors, well lit..Not too many stairs. No TV in the rooms.Peace and quiet.Hot shower in the bathroom. Tiny double room with no space to leave bags or wardrobe to hang clothes.Bed touches the walls on three sides.Really just a bed with no room! Dull back roof view from the window.Little natural light. No second pillow available! Towels were dirty.Had to ask for toilet paper too. We did enjoy our stay in the area but felt we paid a lot for the room,€220 a night.
