The fire alarm went off every single day
-
View of the Empire State Building was amazing and location great but that’s where it ends.. the fire alarm went off falsely three times (twice at around 2am), our room wasn’t cleaned one of the days and the staff were pretty rude and unhelpful, wouldn’t recommend staying here.

We arrived at 8:10 a.m. each morning, but every lounger was already taken, so I'd recommend getting there well before 8:00 if you'd like any chance of getting a spot. After 11:00 a.m., pool access requires a reservation that costs $100 per person, and it was completely sold out for the duration of our stay. I really wish both Expedia and the hotel had clearly communicated this policy before booking. Had we known, we either would have chosen a different hotel or made pool reservations in advance. Since we paid for an expensive hotel specifically for the pool, it simply wasn't worth the price without that information being disclosed upfront. That said, the room was spacious with a beautiful view, and the staff were extremely helpful and even accommodated an early check-in upon our arrival. Overall, it's a nice hotel, but I would not recommend staying here if the pool is one of your main reasons for booking unless you've already secured a reservation.

Terrible hotel for children. They say that it's written all over their policies on their website but I can promise that I never saw once that children had so many restrictions. It was unbelievable. I have never in my life been to a hotel that has a pool but children aren't allowed to swim in it. The pool bar opens at 1130 am and children aren't allowed in after it opens. Since when does the bar have anything to do with kids swimming, everywhere has a bar and kids are allowed. They can swim for two hours 9am-1130am, and adults are allowed at that time too so basically kids can't even swim like they are kids. No splashing, no having fun, no being loud. What's even the point of opening the pool to kids at all. That should be in bold print all over every website for the hotel. If I would have known that I would have never spent 3600$ to stay there for the week. They gave me the worst apology too, and offered nothing in compensation. I wasn't the only one either, pretty much every parent I spoke to had no idea either. The location is great, the kids aren't allowed basically anywhere so make sure you find places outside the restaurant to eat, thankfully you are on Broadway, many places around to eat. Very disappointing to say the least.

The staff is amazing. Rooms are great, mini bar is awesome. Pool area is not as good as advertised

We had to move rooms three times. First because the HVAC unit was making so much noise that we couldn't hear ourselves think. Second, we found bugs, yes bugs, in our room. The third move was to a larger suite and we were comfortable until we used the shower. The drains were clogged and had to call service. The worst part of it all was the cleaning lady decided to help herself to all the change I had on the coffee table. Won't go there again.

Great

This was one of the most convenient places I’ve stayed in NY city. Great location, nice amenities and found the rooms to be quiet (at least on high floors). However fair warning if you are traveling with kids that they do not allow them into the pool except for 8-11:30am - I found this frustrating and unacceptable. The rest of NYC is made for adults - just let the kids in the dang pool when it’s 100 degrees out!

I really enjoyed my short stay here. Also, the front staff was very kind!
-
Great Location and really nice staff. The views from the rooms can not be beat! Loved the view room bar as well. Will def. Stay again. My only wish would be the ability to use the pool AND sit in the sun without the 50$ spend limit at the bar.

It was very clean. The lift system great and easy

What else, the spa has gone way down hill too. I stayed here in 2024 and loved it, that’s why I booked it again this year. Never again.

Very noisy rooms
-
The size of the room is great for NY standards The pool is not always available to guests, it's limited to certain time of the day.
