I was shocked how large the room was in comparison to what i expected. The bed was comfortable and I slept very well – I was only woken up because there was no dnd sign in the room and I didn't have time to ask anyone. The 10% at Milk Bar was such a great perk and really added value to the fee. Definitely a more casual hotel with elevated amenities and clean rooms. Very good selection of bath amenities, obsessed with the lotion selection. Will absolutely return for my next stay.

The hotel was stylish and extremely comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly, particularly at our check-in and check-out, with the concierge /reception desk assisting us, Freddie, going above and beyond to make us feel very welcome and want to return, ensuring our stay was great.

Great location near flower district and walking to Flatiron district. Our room had a grand view of the Empire State Building in all its glory

I booked this hotel because I thought the industrial-style design looked interesting, but the room was not clean. To make matters worse, they even charge for items that most guests would assume are complimentary, such as tea bags and coffee packets. This was by far the worst hotel experience I've ever had. I would not recommend staying here.

The negatives: It’s really dark everywhere, seriously, bring an LED flashlight. The lobby is huge and dark, the bar is dark, the hallways are dark, the room is dark even with all the lights on full blast. This made me feel worried that the room might not be spotless when in fact it was. The entrance to the hotel is surrounded by a construction shed, and this stretch of 29th St is a hangout for DoorDash delivery bikers with time on their hands, and the hotel entrance is in a cloud of weed smoke. There used to be a good restaurant on the first floor that served a good breakfast, and was a viable option for a nice dinner, but it’s gone and the space is now under renovation. Room service was a problem - calling from the room phone connected me to a voicemail box that didn’t announce itself as room service, apparently they want you to order by scanning from the QR code on the menu. I tried to order breakfast, eggs and toast, bacon, grapefruit juice, but I just got an enigmatic error message, one of my items (which one) was not available for breakfast so the order couldn’t be placed. Too much work, annoying!

Just dark and not my vibe

Unfortunately, this place really needs to be renovated. The rooms were run down and our experience was not good- ended up wanting to cancel our stay after a difficult check in experience.

Lobby bar / restaurant was fantastic, food was delicious! Double room was large, with a full size smeg fridge.

This was a great place to stay in a lovely location. Our room was comfortable- but there was a lot of noise from the hallway that woke us up early each day. Otherwise- we loved our stay and the staff was lovely!

It is incredibly well located, right by a number of train stations and an endless number of places to eat or drink at. The room was actually quite large for New York City standards and the housekeeping was very diligent. Even on days where we left in the afternoon, we would come back to our clean room. The service was pretty good. No one asked for tips and everyone was pretty attentive during our stay. In New York City, you can't really ask for more from a hotel. It's well located, it's not small, it's clean, the elevators worked. I was happy! The lobby lighting is strangely dark.
