I’m in NYC once a month on average and have stayed at numerous properties. For the price, The Ned just misses the mark a bit. Doormen (when present) seemed annoyed I was entering or leaving. Staffing was minimal in the restaurant spaces and I had to get up and request service and then flag down someone for the check. Not a massive deal except I was spending $80 on a burger and one glass of wine so one would expect the service to match the 20% tip they suggest (and I still paid). The shower took around 10 minutes to even get remotely warm and overall the room felt minimal and dated. For the price, the experience was just a bit lack luster for the price level.

This is such a beautiful gem of a historic hotel and I had a wonderful night — sleeping in a very comfortable bed with great pillows and sheets. The Jazz bar Thursday night was exceptional. Cocktails were also great. My only complaint is I felt the lighting in the room was a little dark. I had trouble getting makeup on and seeing my outfit. Some stronger lighting would be helpful. Otherwise it was perfect and conveniently located for my event on Broadway.

Room was clean and check in was smooth. AC didn’t work great, so we were hot sleeping that night. Drain in the shower didn’t work properly so the water pooled during our showers.

The staff was amazing as always.

Stayed at this gorgeous hotel for 2 nights. Very clean. Room had everything you could possibly need to get ready for the day. Shower pressure was SO GOOD! Bathroom was big. Beds were so comfortable with lots of pillows. Large closet. Very quiet. The fresh, hot pastries and coffee were a welcome surprise for us one morning! Staff is very friendly and helpful. But the most amazing part is their rooftop bar. The views of the Empire State Building are amazing!!!

Beautifully furnished and maintained historic building with modern comfort (modern air conditioning, bathroom, toms of amenities). The location could not be more convenient, and the staff were very friendly.
