Great location and beautiful property

Great location with shopping and nightlife all in walking distance.

This is a clean, well run hotel with helpful curtious staff. Well located walking distance to Newport on the Levee and Megacorp venue. The walkablity of the area is something Newport should work on. (Not the hotel's fault). The street in front of the hotel can be an adventure to cross when going to Megacorp. The access to Newport on the Levee also involves either dealing with traffic or a sketchy back way. It's all workable though and worth being close by.

All in all it was ok, but could have been a lot better.

The staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was good.

Apparently their policy is to run your form of payment the morning of your stay even though you elected to pay on arrival. I mistakenly used a debt card that I wasn't going to pay with and when they ran it, the amount to reserve room wasn't available on that card. So without notice either by phone or email they cancelled my reservation. I show up and now no reservation, and no rooms available. They did have a room available for my second night, but price was double what my original price was. So I declined that room and set out to find another place to stay. I've never had this happen using this app before. Needless to say wasn't happy and told them what they did was a bad policy. Lesson learned, fine print and reserve with CC, not debt.

Excellent stay. Clean room with comfy bed. Location was very walkable to restaurants and ballpark. Free breakfast appreciated, but could use maybe a few more options.

Everything was close

Was in town to catch a game at Great American Ballpark, Hampton Inn Newport. The hotel was a short walk over the bridge and was absolutely the best move I made when looking for a room. The room was clean and the amenities were top notch. If I’m ever in the area again I’ll most definitely stay here again.

The property was great

Our room was fantastic; the location was great for us as we walked to the Reds game. The room was perfect for the three of us, the breakfast was good, the staff attending to the breakfast was great. Very friendly all around.
