Residence Inn Norfolk Downtown

I was eventually given an out-of-order room, which made the experience even more frustrating after traveling and making my reservation weeks in advance. The manager was supportive and tried to help me. I unfortunately forgot his name, but I believe it started with a J. Other than his assistance, this was a horrible establishment and an extremely disappointing experience. The cleanliness and overall condition were unacceptable.

Room was confortable breakfast was typical hotel breakfast buffet.had a ok selection.

The hotel is in close proximity to Norfolk Waterside and Norfolk Scope. its central location makes it easy to walk to several restaurants in the area without having to constantly get car out of parking garage during our entire stay the elevators were not working at all or getting stuck on certain floors after guests got off leaving others unable to access it. Leaving guests to have to walk up several flights of stairs to access their rooms with their luggage and personal items

No hot water, no ac in the room, wifi horrible, no remote for bedroom TV one elevator and we got stuck.in the only working elevator. Horrible!

It is a very comfortable place to stay.

Staff was truly amazing and would love to come back but the room had a pretty bad smell that was horrible. Area was really clean but the amenities that really attracted us were out of order so it was a downside.

When upgraded the next night the hot water did not work for two days. Paid 18 dollars for parking when city sign posted 13 dollars all day.

Great hotel!

No air conditioning on a 95 degree day and no hot water in my room. Staff acted like they did me a favor moving me to another room the next day. Hot tub and pool were out of order.

Hot water was lacking. Running the hot only for five minutes or more might get hot water eventually. Maybe never. In the morning, there was zero chance of getting a hot shower. In the evening it was hit or miss. I spoke to the front desk about it and they sent a service rep in the middle of the day (while we were not in the room). His note indicated that there was hot water ‘after about a minute’. We chatted with other guests in the elevator and they said they had no hot water, as well. I believe this hotel should invest in a new hot water system, whether that be a point of use or an entire new boiler. I am not a cold shower person.

The staff was great the kitchenette was great! Unfortunately the pool was closed and never opened. The bed and pillows were not comfortable. The breakfast was just ok.

The hotel was in a perfect location for us to get to our Cruise timely. There was no hot water in our room kitchen nor bathroom so we had to take cold showers , the hot tub was drained (I was really looking forward to it), and the ac/heat would turn on whenever it felt like it.

The area and room was very accommodating. There was no hot water over 24 hours. On top of that, called the front desk 2 times and they said someone was working on it. Did not leave a message about if it was fixed. Woke up next morning trying to call the front desk no answer or Explanation.

The location was nice. The staff was nice. There was only one elevator working. The iron was subpar. The sofa was uncomfortable and needs to be replaced. I believe there was a mouse.
