Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel

The property is very nice with a water view. I used valet for parking for convenience, and loved using the app before and during my stay. I do feel the room could have been a little cleaner, and some of the furniture was a little dated. Overall, I would still give this hotel another shot.

It was a very nice hotel, very clean, wonderful staff, the restaurant has very good food. The only minor drawback in our experience was breakfast, the buffet (only food option available) is set up in a way those not wanting an omelette have to wait in the same line to get the rest of the food available. It was very slow. Again good food though!

I enjoyed the convenience of the pool And the close proximity and walking distance. to other sites in the area ( Waterside, Towne Point Club). I experienced issues with the parking service. I regret not valet parking.

Very nice hotel and reasonable pricing. Self parking at a nearby garage for about $20 per day. Nice outdoor pool. Very good breakfast with eggs to order but a bit pricey at ~$20 per person. Beds very comfy. Pillows large and mushy, but more are available with a call to the front desk.

Staff was friendly but the hotel needs maintenance. AC in room and hotel bathrooms did not work to be any cooler than 77 degrees. I booked a harbor view room with a balcony on a corner. They tried to give me a corner balcony parking lot room. I eneded up with cheaper a harbor view balcony room for the same price of 595.00 per night. Not pleased. Hotel needs upkeep.

Room was clean, but basic, breakfast cost $19 and was worse than any free breakfast I had at other hotels. Entrance is under construction making drop off and valet parking confusing. Music in lobby was so loud that we couldn’t hear the attendant at the check in desk.

The property needs a good home improvement. The toilets are kid sizes. The water pressure is not good 😐 there is no exhaust in the bathroom, which is crazy because it can lead to mold and mildew. The pillows are disgusting and dingy. I will not recommend this hotel any time soon.

nice rooms and great view, friendly staff

The room was very clean. The staff had great customer service qualities. Breakfast was great. The bar was very much to my liking. I recommend this hotel for your stay.

The staff of the hotel and the on-site restaurant was very friendly and responsive. The room was meticulously clean although the housekeeper didn’t show up the second day.

We arrived to check in there was a very loud band playing in the lobby and we could not hear the person at the reservation desk. The hotel could have arrange some chairs for the guests to sit outside the back patio but there were very few chairs to sit. Next day they had the wedding cocktail on the patio so there was nowhere to sit to watch the fireworks.

Great location to downtown Norfolk and within walking distance to several restaurants. Location felt safe, and I loved the waterfront. The staff was friendly and welcoming. It was about a 15-minute drive to ODU. The room was clean. Great bar area, and the food looked good.

Overall very good, but we came here for the big Sail250 event. I thought, for a hotel of this stature, they would have information materials about the surrounding area and the festival, but no, nothing - not even any info about their own hotel.
