Garner Hotel North Bergen - NYC Gateway by IHG

The rooms were clean and not far from the MetLife stadium. Did not get a chance to utilize any amenities because we only stayed 1 night. I would definitely stay again.

Older Hotel but it was clean and well kept.

Just stayed overnight on our way to NYC. The room was perfect for my daughter and I. One elevator was out but that di8dn't really cause any issues. The front desk was very accommodating as we had a broken toilet in our first room and they immediately switched us to another room. The breakfast was ok. I was happy to have coffee in the lobby. Overall, a decent stay.

The staff was friendly, attentive, professional, and genuinely helpful. The bathroom sink is quite small, and there is not enough space to place personal items such as face cleanser, makeup, toothpaste, and a toothbrush. It would be helpful to have additional storage or a small organizer. Also, the bathtub surface can be somewhat slippery during showers, so adding a non-slip mat or other safety feature would help prevent slips and falls.

So the housekeeper went in my room and removed items after the do not enter was clearly placed on my door. Then when I called and stated things were missing they just simply said we found it. This is unacceptable instead of accountability they just brushed my concern under the rug.Do not stay here things come up missing

Due to a gps glitch, we enter the back end of the hotel upon arrival. First impression was terrible, as the dumpster were right at the entry point and smelled really bad. Half of the parking lot is near the dumpster so we did not choose to park there. Check in staff was

The hotel was okay overall, but for the price, I expected a little more. Some areas seemed a bit dated and could use better maintenance. Not a bad stay, but I don’t think it offers the best value for the price.

The hotel is in a very prime location and well maintained with clean rooms. It has a very big free parking lot. Overall enjoyed our stay

The photos are old and outdated . First off there’s a crack house in the corner of the parking lot , secondly when you walk in you’re hit with the most foul stench of BO and mold and last the place is full of cracks and paint chipping everywhere . The staff was nice and friendly but to spend $250 on this was a complete rip off because of how nasty this place was. Forgot to mention there was hair in the bathtub that wasn’t mine or my friends. Will not stay here again and do not recommend. 2/10!

I am requesting a refund due to the extremely disappointing and unacceptable experience I had during my recent stay. From the beginning, the hotel was very difficult to locate, and communication with staff was challenging, which made the check-in process more difficult than necessary. I had prepaid for my room; however, when I was given my first room, I discovered that it had not been cleaned or turned over from the previous guest. The condition of the room was unacceptable. After I contacted the front desk to complain, a member of management came to inspect the room and I was moved to a second room. Unfortunately, the second room was also not properly cleaned. Because I was already running late for a concert, I did not have time to return to the front desk and address another room issue before leaving. When we returned from the concert, I reported the condition of the second room. We were told that someone from management would address our concerns the following morning. No member of management ever followed up with us. We were subsequently granted a late checkout. Despite having an approved late checkout, a staff member entered our room while we were unclothed and before our checkout time. We had to tell the staff member several times to leave because we were not dressed. This was extremely uncomfortable, embarrassing, and a serious invasion of our privacy. Overall, this stay fell far below reasonable expectations for cleanliness, customer service, communication, and guest privacy. We were initially assigned a room that had not been serviced after the previous guest, moved to another room that was still inadequately cleaned, received no promised management follow-up, and then experienced staff entering our room while we were undressed despite having an approved late checkout. Given the circumstances, I am requesting a full refund for my stay. I do not believe I received the safe, clean, private, and properly serviced accommodations that I paid for. Everything

Stayed here for Chris Brown and Usher R & B concert. It was an 11 minute drive from MetLife stadium. The staff were friendly and the room was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. I would stay again.
