Wonderful stay! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was excellent. The room was spacious, cozy, and had everything we needed. The location was also very convenient. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

For the price, this property is a disappointment. The rooms are extremely outdated, worn down, and in desperate need of renovations. There wasn't even a coffee maker or basic amenities in the room. The strangest part of our stay was checkout. This was the first hotel we've ever stayed at where we were required to wait in the lobby while a staff member inspected our room before returning our deposit. Considering how beat-up the rooms already are, I'm not sure what they were worried about us damaging! Bottom line: If you're looking for free parking and a location close to Universal Studios, this hotel checks those two boxes. Otherwise, I would recommend looking elsewhere. It's simply not worth the money.

It's an old-style motel/hotel with a convenient location at relatively low prices. Don't expect it to be like a Sheraton. I see mixed reviews so have to assume the quality of the rooms varies quite a bit. The room I got was fine. No odd smells, seemed clean, the bed was comfortable, hard to tell about the carpet, it was pretty dark color. The TV didn't seem to like the TV remote very much but with effort and a lot of button pushing it worked. The room looked like it had been rehabbed perhaps 10 years ago with a more recent repaint, perhaps in past year to two. Bathroom overall was fine. Main thing I didn't like about room was that it seemed like it was designed for a single large bed and had been rearranged so a second smaller bed could be put in it. That made it a bit cramped as far as available space to move around. Not a big deal as I was not holding a party in it but still it was an awkward layout. All the lighting is in the ceiling but there were several lights with suitably bright bulbs in them, so the room was adequately lighted. There is a coffee pot in the office, but it was always empty and most of the time the door is locked making it hard to access. Parking was adequate and no extra charge. There were several nearby places to eat within walking distance. Perhaps not the best area of LA but certainly not the worst. I would stay again if I had a need to be in the area.

Old hotel, but very close to the Universal Studios Hollywood. Hotel needs urgent renovation. Carpets are very old and smelly to give one example.

Clean and close to.attractions

Quiet place, we stayed two nights.. the room was really clean!!!

Room was clean, very no-frills I wish the bed was a little softer, and I didn't see coffee in the room or in the lobby. Air conditioner not cool enough. I've stayed here twice and it was very quiet, I slept like a log even though the bed was hard. It seems a little high priced for what little you get, but I only stay when I'm at Universal for a late night event like Halloween Horror Night. So for me it's just to crash for a few hours so I don't crash on the 5 South! I wouldn't recommend for a longer stay.

The place is okay if you’re only staying a night on your vacation especially on a budget. For a longer stay during vacation I wouldn’t recommend.

The bed was comfy. And the location is good. The shower doesn't drain, so the floor feels yuckie. The AC leaked all over the floor, causing water damage.

This was my second time staying here for a Universal Studios trip. The room is pretty basic, but good enough for a short stay. No more than a 5-min drive to the theme park. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only complaint is that parking is a little scarce on the immediate property. There is an overflow parking, but it can get a little shady. Overall decent place to stay at.

Cleanliness was 9/10, a few things were in places they shouldn’t be but were cleaned. Staff was helpful and super close to everything we needed.

Loved the water pressure in the shower. Only complaint could have been maybe they added smart TVs so the rooms. Everything else was beautiful as always.

booked this place because i wanted a cheaper option near universal studios for a weekend. it did the job. nothing fabulous. some of the lights in the room were broken, no hangers in the closet, discolored towels, mildew in the bathroom. but it was perfectly livable. just a little janky, as one should expect for the price. short ride to universal is convenient. had my car parked for 2 nights and nothing happened to it.
