Colony Inn

booked this place because i wanted a cheaper option near universal studios for a weekend. it did the job. nothing fabulous. some of the lights in the room were broken, no hangers in the closet, discolored towels, mildew in the bathroom. but it was perfectly livable. just a little janky, as one should expect for the price. short ride to universal is convenient. had my car parked for 2 nights and nothing happened to it.

Everything was exactly as described and the guy at the front counter was really nice.

Very nice man at check in and out. The room itself had like 1/2 a remodel. VERY old furniture, and cheap. old carpeting. remodeled modern bath which was nice. Lots of mirrors in this room, no hangers in the closet. noisy a/c unit. Free parking which was nice,

The smoke alarm kept beeping, maintenance changed the batter, but in the middle of the night it started to beep again. The shower gets clocked up a bit while showering.

I ask for my room to be made I was out all day I came back after 9 hrs and no one made my room, no parking parking was full I had to park on the outside of the property

Clean room, staff was helpful, and friendly.Parking was a little tight on the weekends . But they provide parking space in front of the hotel thats metered, And the hotel pays for it . Had a great 9 day stay . It's close to Universal studios.

Older hotel, well maintained. Very close to Universal Studios main reason we stayed here. Close to alot of restaurants.

I was reluctant to stay because of some of the reviews but I decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised. They keep the property and rooms well maintained, staff was very friendly and helpful. They even made fresh coffee that they keep in the main office for you to enjoy. Just wish there was a secondary door latch on the door for my own peace of mind. Otherwise, I was happy with our stay and it was very close to universal studios

It was very convenient to go to universal studios and it saves money. Just taking a Uber there and back No microwave in room

It was clean and excellent what we needed for our weekend in LA.

The rooms were clean, comfortable and as described. Check in and check out was easy and the young man was very nice. Parking was convenient but it is was a snug fit. Bigger vehicles might have a hard time. (We have a truck and were ok.)

It’s ok for the price staff was very nice and helpful.
