Residence Inn by Marriott Oakland Downtown

The hotel was overbooked and my reservation wasn’t honored. I was made to wait over an hour to be provided with two room options that didn’t meet the reservation details. I had to stay in a smaller room and was promised a refund. I called back twice and was given different information and ultimately told they couldn’t refund me but could give me points. I disputed the charge with my credit card but hasn’t been resolved.

This is the first hotel that has actually impressed me. 10/10 would stay here again

Clean rooms.

I was promised a specific room and when I arrived it was not available. This is the second time this has happened

Friendly staff with professional manners and very nice breakfast with plenty of choice plus clean rooms with great air-conditioning.

It was an awkward entrance but once we figured out the room situation (room was delayed an hour) we fully enjoyed the room. We got a king

Staff helpful and friendly, serving and dinning area were clean. Room was clean as well but the only thing I didn't like was the size of the kitchenette cabinets above the sink. To big and to low , acces to the sink was limited.

Hotel room was very nice, bartender was also great.

Other than breakfast which always looked like it was running out of food, everything was fine. Find parking in local garage or street...in hotel is $60 per night

It seems to have gone down in cleanliness the last two stays. I moved rooms twice due to a Crack in the tv, hair and spot on my sheets and hair on the floor in kitchen and bathroom. The other room was a box with annoying hum noise due to weird wiring

Everything was clean and staff very accommodating.

I enjoyed everything! The room was very clean, my dog loved it! The kitchen was beyond my expectations! I will be staying again! It’s pet friendly which is great but taking my fur baby somewhere to potty meant walking around downtown Oakland. Not to clean and no where pet friendly for him to potty except the side of a building. :(

The room was very clean. It was an affordable 5 star hotel for me. Wish it was in a better location.

Nicely located, very clean and stuff are really awesome. Would definitely come back!
