From the moment I stepped into the room, my eyes and nose burned from the presence of mold and mildew. After several rounds through the laundry, some items of clothing and luggage still smell like the mold. I could go on about the vague dampness of the bed or the remnants of a previous guests bar of soap in the shower, but the mold should be your greatest concern.

Hotel was extremely dated. People are living there.

Location! Room 359 is the top balcony facing the ocean. I stayed in this room with my parents 35 years ago, and I will say not much has changed. But I loved the nostalgia of it. The balcony is a such a nice, private little spot. You get the sun. You get the crashing waves. You get the seagulls in the morning. We slept with the door open and heard the ocean all night. Are there some things that could be changed that would pump up the value of the property? Sure. Some cosmetic stuff. But you’d also pay more. And that price point was amazing for us! The water pressure was good and if you wait about 2 minutes or so, it can get very hot. We had plenty of towels. Our sheets and bedding were clean. Our parking spot was right near our stairs. Of course, we did stay September 17-21, so it wasn’t as crowded at the end of the season. I would say, it’s not a matter of “not liking.” It is more a matter of preference. Would I prefer to not have carpet in the room? Yes. It holds the moisture and smells. So, yeah, it does irritate my allergies. Would I prefer to not have a wall of windows that rattle every time I close my door? Yep. It’s also not the safest. Would I prefer to not hear pressure in the pipes every 10 minutes that sounded like a dog yelping for a few seconds? Yeah. Will I concede to say I would prefer the mattresses be updated? Yes. But I will say that most of the negative reviews, if they’re about room 359, they’re exaggerating the negatives. We stayed 4 nights and spent probably 10% of our time there. And when we were there we really enjoyed that balcony. We paid less than $100 a night and it was well, well worth it!!

Nice hotel for a quick beach trip. The room was spacious enough for our family of five. It was clean, but there were some stains on the ceilings in the bathroom. The AC worked well and kept the room cool. The TV has limited channels, so just plan ahead for that if you have kids who want children’s shows. The location is perfect and the staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Conveniently located to shops Smelled of mold so bad it was hard to breathe. There was black mold on the walls stains on the comforters. Floors were wet carpet in hotels should not exist! Then when I said about my concerns to staff they did not care

The location is great. It is extremely close to the beach. You can walk to the beach without ever driving. The room itself is spacious and comfortable for a couple. It was very quiet and everyone was pleasant. The rooms are easy to hear though if there are children staying beside it above you. It’s also hard to have DoorDash deliver. When checking in, it should have been told to us that you will need to go there Sahara hotel next door to check in because that’s where you check into both hotels

Immediately after we checked into the room, we noticed something previously spilled in the fridge and was never cleaned out, the blankets were dirty and needed to be replaced, the microwave was dirty, there was a nail sticking out of the dinning chair within the room and couldn't be used, and the room smelled very musty. The housekeepers wouldn't show up, or they would take our towels and never replace them. The housekeeping staff did not speak English, so it was difficult to even communicate with them and request clean towels or blankets. I didn't expect a lot from a cheap motel but even the basic needs during a stay were not received. Issues with the amenities include broken ice machine and during our stay the pool had to be drained and was not usable. The best part of the motel was the location and being steps away from the boardwalk/beach, but I would not recommend this motel to anyone.
