Thunderbird Beach Motel

Pool was small but clean, TV in room didnt work. Was affordable stay for a trip where you wont be in the room only to shower and sleep.

Room was clean, but small. AC wasn’t working, woke up in a sweat first morning. Toilet wouldn’t flush. Bed was extremely hard. Wouldn’t stay again, but could be worse.

Front desk was super nice and the pool and location was perfect.

Parking was sufficient. No view of the beach which I knew. No working ice machines, bathrooms on 1st floor were locked after squeezing behind big blue utility carts. Room was very dated, bathroom smelled like unrine, curtains left a lot of light in at night. Water in shower was hot and cold if someone in any surrounding room flushed or used water our shower water got very hot or very cold. The mattresses were like sleeping on boards. Definitely not a place to stay long term.

Very surprised I found this gem in middle of summer, it was a great value. Oceanside. Room was clean. AC was cold. Everything was perfect. I'll be back.

This spot is PERFECT if ya just wanna come to Ocean City for some sun and beach time on a budget. Read the reviews of this place so I knew what to expect. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The convenience of the pool satisfied my kids on drizzly days or days I was too tired to bring the whole beach set up in the wagon. The best part- maybe 30 feet away from the beach. It’s so hard to think about staying somewhere fancier and pricier considering how much further away I’d be from the actual beach. By the way, this area of the beach feels like the best spot to avoid being overwhelmed by boardwalk chaos and instead just focus on you and your loved ones. Definitely coming back here with family again and again.

The room was clean as a pin! You could smell the disinfectant and appreciate how fresh the linen was! The staff was exceptional! They went above and beyond! Made everyone feel so welcome! Especially Ms. Babs! She is so kind and funny! I would 100% stay again! Great location! Beach access! Lovely pool! Excellent stay! Nothing to complain about! Bathroom was a bit dated- but clean as a pin!

I originally picked this place because of the price but after being allowed to come in early before checking in i was able to Park use their pool and go to the ocean which was why I wanted to go to the beach. Then after checking out, I was allowed to park for the rest of the day use the pool go to the ocean. The staff was extremely helpful ( I was even given a mini history lesson about the hotels that I stayed at when I was a child), My Room was clean and the hotel was well maintained. I will come again

Location, cleanliness, room. Was very pleased.

Mostly it was the staff. Both night staff and day staff. The outlets in the room were difficult to reach located behind furniture and down at the base of the walls. I have a medical device besides the usual things such as phone and computer. One of the outlet actually threw a spark.

The room was what you expect it to be for a motel. Mostly clean. But the beds…. You can’t sleep on them. They’re like sleeping on a street bench. We left a day early even after paying for a full day. We couldn’t sleep, it was a waste of time. Now we should get to the chiropractor.

We just stayed for 3 nights 3 couples in 3 rooms. We asked for a 1st floor and to have the rooms together and they accommodated us. Front desk was so nice and helpful let us use the pool till check in time. The rooms were clean the pool area was as well and the staff were very nice. Would stay again definitely!!

This property is in a good location. It’s comfortable enough for a night or two. The shower is awesome!

As an older motel, this was nothing fancy but the room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the location was walkable to the beach. It has a nice pool and off street parking. The beds were too hard for my personal comfort but it was fine for a single night stay. The parking lot was small so I was glad we just had a smaller car and not an SUV or van. The bathroom was very small but it was clean.

The staff were welcoming, and we were able to get extra towels without any hassle. The pool is clean and an added bonus. But it is two-star, and old school. The rooms are small, the bathrooms are smaller, the beds are adequate and the room was clean-ish. The shower faucet had a leak the entire time. If you are not planning to stay much in your room, this is an excellent budget option in a fabulous location. But if you plan to spend any amount of time in your room, or just hope to veg out an relax just know you will be cramped, especially with two kids, as we had. Would stay again, but would make sure to bring our own towels and plan out day better.

The room was very clean! All of the ammenties worked perfect. The bed was not comfortable, but was a good size (King). The parking lot is small, but we didn’t move our car after check-in so available spots were not a problem for us. Location was great to the beach and not too far of a walk from the boardwalk. I’d recommend staying again!

It was easy check in. Rooms were super clean and the staff was nice and the front desk lady was super helpful !! I definitely would stay there again!!
