Hotel Avenida - Oceanside Camp Pendleton

The room was reasonably clean, however the shower had nowhere to place a bar of soap, no ironing board, and no face towels. The male front desk staff member was extremely disrespectful when asked to explain items on a requested invoice for a collected deposit. He seemed very angry for no known reason and, consequently, would not consider returning again.

Seems they have new mgmt or ownership but paint was peeling behind the main door. No lock in bathroom door and the edges and corners of the shower floor were dirty.

I mean it was the cheapest in town at the time. Probably one of the worst motels I’ve ever stayed at (paint peeling, stains on bed curtains, weird shmutz on the bathroom hook, smelly bathroom, etc.) BUT the bed sheets were clean, the towels were clean, and they did include a tiny bar of soap lol. Stay here if you have to, but if you don’t have to, don’t.

Not located in a great area. Pool is facing the gas station and located right next to a very busy street.

we stayed one night of three and my wife was angry we stayed for the one night.

Affordable. Location a short drive to the beach. Beds were on the firmer side with some lumpy spots, but clean and adequate for the price. The shower ran hot, even the coldest setting was very warm.

Good room, good stay.

Clean room and everything that need to work did, like the A/C, lights, T.V. and restroom. The bed was good but not great and so were the towels. Excellent service, room was cleaned great everyday. Staff was on site all night and they were friendly. Free parking was great and I was able to park right next to my room or close to it. Good locate as well, it is right off the freeway. I would rent a room from this place again.

Outside the place looks great.our room needed painting over large hole patches. Floors were dirty and the bathroom needs major updating. Walking in the room was an overwhelming smell of a strong chemical spray. Once the smell wore off the place had a bad odor. There was no blow dryer in the room. No continental breakfast. It is convenient to park and fairly close to the beach. It was not worth the price we paid. Across the street the coffee shop is excellent!

Nothing special everything ok

There was a long hair in shower and tooth paste on the counter that wasn’t cleaned. The walls had a lot of holes that were patched up and never got to paint. The door paint was peeling off.

Awful rooms. Cockroach on the wall. Shower smelled so bad like sewer when we used it. Baseboards and walls dirty. Don’t recommend staying here. Pool floor was dirty.

Room was clean. No coffee maker in the room but otherwise worked for us.

The place is very very run down. The bathroom door didn't latch. There was damage to the front door. Missing the facing on the bathroom cabinets. Didn't feel super clean. Patched holes not painted. The beds and pillows very uncomfortable. We were on the freeway side so it was very loud all night. The people next door were smoking so out room smelled like pot really bad. The reviews on here looked decent but I look at the Google reviews and they were much more accurate. I would not stay here again. Be careful if you are traveling with kids!!!!!

Room was uninviting, dirty, and needed a face lift. The hotel had the audacity to charge a property damage deposit at time of check in. Outside area was poorly maintained.

The room was very run down, walls were discolored and patched. The shower had hair in it. The bed was ripped and dirty. We forfeited our money and stayed elsewhere. I would not recommend this "motel".
